Some times may be busier than others like sea days so that might influence your order. I would say see what you mood feels like on how long you want to stay. The infrared sauna and maybe the salt room would be ones to stay longer in to get the benefits. The steam room and Hamman are good for the lungs and sinuses but they get a bit hot after a while. Definitely bring some water and drink to prevent dehydration and to help your body flush toxins out. I think doing a steam room kind of thing at least near the end will be a good preventative kind of therapy. I read cold viruses have a harder time replicating in the warmer, moisture air. Like more people get Winter colds because your nose is drier. The heated chairs are really nice whenever you can get one. I do like it last. They might be slightly different temperatures too. They can be so relaxing that you could doze off 😊😂

Thank you so much, Nicole. So glad it helped! We really could not hear Magic Carpet go by, but it was fun to watch it go by. No one, not even staff, are on the Magic Carpet as it moves between the floors, so you don't have to worry about people looking in.

I would imagine all the Magic Carpet suites have a similiar configuration to fit in the area of the Magic Carpet. Since 11186 is on the end, I think you also get an opening on the side as well. You should be able to look back more easily instead of over the balcony rail. I did miss the big window in the bathroom and it feeling bigger but having the vanity table closer to the bathroom door instead at the far end of the bathroom made it much more convenient to get personal items or comb my hair at least.

That is going to be such a great cruise and cabin. We will be doing the same cruise on Beyond. When the Magic Carpet moves, no one is allowed on it. We have been having drink sitting on it and been told we have to leave because they are moving it down to be the restaurant. I was actually disappointed that we could not be on it when it moved: it is called a Magic Carpet but you cannot ride it. There is not even any staff on it either, so privacy is not a problem since it is empty when it goes by. I do think there could be a little bit of a privacy issue with the Magic Carpet suites on the ends with the side openings for the balcony and the Infinite verandahs near them. We also had checked out from the deck if we could see into the side balcony openings. I realize people are not just standing there all the time but if you wanted to step out onto your balcony before you were fully presentable, people on the deck may see you.

On the Hamman or Turkish steam room, someone said there was no scrub or brush inside so it was more like a steam room. The SEA Thermal Spa does offer more than the Persian Gardens.

Yes, it is! It is much bigger than we have had on Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Carnival. Plenty of room to turn around and even dry off inside. The sprayer is really nice for getting the sand off. Shower bar at the bottom if you want to shave your legs too.

Being with, petting, and howling with the wolves together was one of the highlight in my life. I am glad you could hear them too. Unfortunately, the Predators of the Heart Sanctuary is temporarily closed to tours due to a lawsuit and the wolves are being cared for by donations.

Agreed. This Edge hallway to Eden is the most strange and eeriest. The ones on Beyond and Ascent ships are not. Ascent has more of a mirrored iceberg theme and is bright.

Oh yeah! The Magic Carpet Sky Suite is the least expensive of the sky suites, but the location was good, about mid-way on the ship and that balcony! We have never had a balcony that big before! We finally had two lounge chairs we could both could enjoy. Watching the Magic Carpet go by was a treat.

Awesome! I am so glad the video helped. We had trouble finding the cabin at first and were confused since we never had a cabin down a hall like that. I wish you a great cruise! The Edge class ships are beautiful and I love the four main dining rooms to choose from. Cafe al Bacio pastries are free although the drinks do cost. Eden Cafe open on sea days is nice for a lighter, less crowded breakfast or lunch and has outside seating. Their chocolate cake is so good!

At night, we were usually at shows or the bars, but around 6:30 - 7:30 pm when we were getting ready to go out, we did not hear anything. We would go to bed around 11 pm, and I never heard anything from upstairs as I was going to bed. In the early morning on a couple of mornings, we might hear a little noise if they washed the floor and moved chairs or the early risers scraping chairs on the floor. I would usually wake up a little, then either start the day or go back to sleep. Two decks below Oceanview Cafe would be the safest not to hear that.

Thanks so much! Yes, I have been reading a lot of discussion on the sky suites butler being replaced by a Retreat team as well as some of the butlers losing their jobs. We have had excellent service butler service with a caring butler who wants to help give you a wonderful experience, so I am sad to hear of the change. To me, it reminds me of having to call a call center for help and being assigned a ticket that gets put in a queue to be handled by someone. I can see them being able to offer more standardized, consistent services with less people. I just don't know yet if we will receive that personal, caring level of service or if they may reduce tasks a butler used to do, such as call for cheese and crackers from room service yourself. It will be several months before we experience this new Retreat team experience, but I will be open and positive. It will be interesting to see if they handle the "normal" suite things that I ask for. It is silly but on this trip since we got the premium drink package, I thought to ask the butler for premium waters for our fridge instead of the canned water in the Classic package. Having someone bring waters is a treat period versus making the bar rounds to stock up the water myself. What do you think of the Retreat team change?

@@clairewithlove1 I think I'm OK with the change as long as it's the same level of service. We spoke with a Celebrity Cruises sales consultant yesteray, who said the new Retreat teams will be doing everything the butlers did. We're considering a cruise in a Sky Suite for next spring, which will be our first Retreat experience, so we'll see how it goes!

@@gjones0316 That is good to hear. I am fine too if it is the same level of service. The Retreat on Edge ships and Michael's Lounge on non-Revolutionized ships provides afternoon tea, drinks, so other than wanting something in your cabin that room service would not cover, the Retreat team will hopefully handle those personal request well. For future cruise booking or Shore Excursions, the current Retreat team makes an appointment for you with those teams anyways. On Beyond's Retreat, we enjoyed the padded lounge chairs and more shaded areas and less busy hot tubs. I hope you have a wonderful time when you go.

Thanks so much for your feedback! It made me very happy to know it helped you. For the Celebrity Edge class ships (Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent), the Sunset Verandah is the best way to get a traditional balcony cabin (versus the Infinite Verandah which is the majority of the cabins and is more of a window that retracts down) without having to pay to upgrade to a Sky Suite or higher which would also give you a traditional balcony. There is a Porthole verandah which offers a little balcony in the front of back of the side of the ship, but the Sunset Verandah gives you the biggest balcony with the best view. Some of the Sunset Verandahs have balconies wider and deeper towards the middle (bigger balcony).. All the Edge class ships have the plugs in the box configuration. It can be worthwhile to bring a plug that offers additional plug outlets since the outlets in the box can be too close together to plug two phone chargers next to each other. The Edge class ships are very different from the Solstice class Celebrity ships. The main dining room choices with different regional cuisines offers increased choices. If you have the opportunity to go on Celebrity Beyond; it was the most beautiful ship we have been on. We have sailed on Edge before. Happy cruising to you!

I watched your Dunn's River falls video. It is just how I remember it years and years ago. Thanks for showing the two places you like to eat for breakfast in your Royal Caribbean breakfast video.

The bathroom was bigger than hotels we have stayed at. The body level spray actually is super helpful when you don't want to get your hair wet before dinner. You don't need a shower cap even.

It was so funny. I was videoing the stage when I thought I was going crazy at first with seeing the paintings move. Did that guy just do something?

Yes! I felt really proud when I could finally keep it straight and actually know which way I was heading by the signs. Forward = front of the ship. Port = left Side. Starboard = right side. Aft = back of the ship. And most importantly on a cruise ship, they are "ships," not "boats."

LoL! Yeah and in real life, I could not turn down the volume other than plug my ears but I was trying to video it.

It definitely saved the walk. You stand outside the Harrah's hotel on the street, the main street on the Windsor Court side, and call. Mardi Gras World cannot give you an estimated time, but in about 10 minutes the bus came by. We walked from Mardi Gras World to the WW2 museum and to a restaurant for dinner, then back to Windsor Court. The walk from the museum was not in a bad area; it was past the convention center.

Yes, they do. The rooms range from a Best Western-like for a standard room to the Queen Balcony which has a balcony with two rocking chairs and a table to the Jr Suite which does not have a balcony but does have a sofa and bar area to the really nice King Suite. I hung out on Saturday and Sunday morning in the room and with all the space and fireplace and wet bar and microwave and sectional sofa and chairs and balconies, it is a lovely place to relax. All rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges. There are short 0.5 to 6 mile hikes in Canaan Valley Park near the resort and day hikes like where my husband went in Dolly Sods.

It was very quiet regarding not hearing or feeling the engine with the door closed. I did hear the people in the suite next to us coughing alot. My bed side glass lamp shade rattled a bit. I had to unscrew it a little and get it just right to stop the rattle.

@@clairewithlove1 thank you. Could you hear anything from the pool area above the room? What about the view also. I hear that because of the upper floor protruding out that the view is shortened. could you describe for me?

@@Dreamerjbt We did not hear the pool or scraping of chairs in Ocean View. We have gotten the Sunset Verandah one floor below Ocean View before and definitely heard the people scraping their chairs on the deck first thing in the morning. It had been enough to wake us, but we would go back to sleep. We did not notice the view being shortened. We chose the bump out area to get more balcony space and it put our balcony farther out. It looks like your cabin #2139 will have the bump out cabins in front of it, so that may block a little of your view as you put your head out. Also, the bump out cabins may be able to see (if they stick their heads out) onto your balcony a little more. Keep that in mind, since one time, I did not realize the people on the Captain's bridge could look back and see onto our balcony. The bump out cabins may block a little of your view if you are looking out and forward. Most of the time, we just sat in our chairs and enjoyed looking straight out.
