+ridor9th They weren't rivals? Pat and Geno had a love/hate relationship and both teams hated each other and loved to beat one another. They have 18 titles combined (maybe 19 after tonight) where no other school has more than 2 and there was a period where they were the only 2 good programs in the sport. They may not be geographic rivals, but they still seemed like rivals to me. And if Tennessee was better over the past few years, they might still be rivals again.

+JTR NO, they were never rivals. A true rivalry does not have to include the championships. ESPN wanted them to be rivals and Connecticut WANTED to be rivals with Tennessee. Tennessee played UConn only in the best interest of the sport. UT wanted the sport to grow, they were willing to play anyone else for the sake of sport's growth. UConn's true rivalry? Boston College and Providence. Tennessee's true rivals are: Old Dominion, Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana Tech, Texas & Stanford. I'm so glad that more and more Top 25 teams are not playing UConn. Baylor, Stanford, Virginia, Duke and Tennessee has ceased to play UConn. UConn has done nothing but caused the stagnant to this sport. If Geno knew what is in the best interest of this sport, he would leave UConn for another school. Look at Bankers Life Fieldhouse's upper sections. Virtually empty. With UConn in Final Four, the Final Four matches has failed to sell out. Why? I know why. They all pointed at fans of Connecticut as the culprit.

+JTR Keep in mind that I have been a fan of this sport since 1984. I was there when Geno was assistant coach at Virginia. I am a longtime associate member of WBCA, a longtime fan of Virginia. I know more about this sport than you can muster in a lifetime. As usual, the Final Four in Indianapolis did not sell out. In fact, the upper sections are curtained closed. Says a lot.

No, they didn't all get together to frame Sandusky. Once Penn State fired Joe Paterno and made it known they would be paying out $millions to anyone who claimed they were abused by Sandusky, they individually came forward because they new it was easy money.

HE DID GOT TO THE POLICE!!! PSU campus police are a fully recognized PA police force, they carry guns they can make arrests and over half of them have federal law enforcement training, and they were fully notified!
