Queen's university is located in Kingston and they have a law school there. It is very competitive to get into law school in Canada. You cannot apply directly from high school to get into law school. You need at least two years of university experience before you can apply to a Canadian law school.

In terms of where to go from here, you need to find a two-year program so you can satisfy the in-person requirement for a law degree. Unfortunately there aren't two year Canadian law programs, but you can apply to two masters programs and hope that you are accepted into one program after another. You can view the NCA prolicy that discusses distance learning.

There have been some delays in getting these notes out. We hope to have them ready in about a month so it will be after the current contract cycle.

Hello Vaibhav, you can find used textbooks on our Facebook buy and sell group here: facebook.com/groups/ncatextbooks. That's a good place to start. There may be other online forums like Kijiji where people may offer used books. If you're looking for new textbooks, university bookstores carry most of the NCA textbooks and the publishers online also sell them directly to students.

Hi Atul, I hope I can ease some of the doubts you may have. You can complete your NCA exams from India and do not need to be present in Canada as they offer their exams online. We cannot provide any immigration advice, but I do recommend that you consult with an immigration lawyer or a registered immigration consultant to get further information. With regards to your articling, each province has its own requirements and criteria but some law societies do allow you to reduce your articleship period through an abridgment application. Quebec is a hybrid legal system of both civil law and common law. You need to be trained in civil law to practise in Quebec.

Hello Usman, the online exam does not have an auto-correct feature nor does it have an automatic underline for incorrect spelling. There is an overall assessment for your writing but they do not fail you for spelling mistakes.

Great point! We'll add that in our video description. Which jurisdiction are you from and what were your costs? In North America transcripts costs between $10-20 to order and a certificate of good standing was around $10 the last time I ordered one.

@@NCATutor I think I had to pay 2 x 100 GBP for a certificate of good standing - one for the NCA and another for the law society! I think my university transcripts were about 25 GBP each plus courier costs. It sounds like it could vary widely and some people will need translations.

There are certain advantages to studying with the annotated code. I don't recommend that you buy one. You can always get access to it at your local library.
