      If I'm honest with you, I'm not sure if it would be legal in an official BJJ match or not as we don't use it for competition. I don't think it would be a problem as it's not a strike, but perhaps a good idea to check with someone in the know if you're planning to compete and maybe use it.👍

      I don't think their Whey is grass fed, nor cold processed, so not a brand I would use or recommend to be honest. That said, I've not researched them and maybe they're better than I'm assuming?🤷‍♂ I just know that most big brands aren't the best options to use for longterm health and wellness. My two thoughts for what they’re worth; 1) you’re Co-sleeping a 14 month old ?!! Screw that - who told you that’s a good idea ? The wife ? That’s the diet of thing they do . Read up in this ! 2 you say nutrition- dies this include supplements? Cos ESSENTIAL for you now us magnesium glycinate taken last thing at night and 5-http also a very good idea. Do you meditate? You should!

    • @StrongerThanLife
      @StrongerThanLife 8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your input. As for your thoughts: 1) Nobody told me "it was a good idea". We chose to do it. My daughter still breast feeds throughout the night and having her in the bed actually means we get more sleep because she's on the boob within seconds of waking rather than one of us having to wake up, get up and go get her out of the cot, or a different room. 2) "Nutrition" can include supplements if they're needed or relevant to the individual. I myself use a few, including a Magnesium complex at present. And as for meditation, I do so daily.👍

    • @captainplatinum
      @captainplatinum 8 месяцев назад

      @@StrongerThanLife it’s subjective . It depends on your lifestyle , training , diet , stress, co morbidities , medications , anxiety , nutrition, bloods , environment , working hours , intensity etc etc etc . Everyone needs a rest to recharge . Suggesting this is somehow wrong is ridiculous.

    • @StrongerThanLife
      @StrongerThanLife 8 месяцев назад

      @@captainplatinum Yes, it does depend on your lifestyle. And if you have a lifestyle that causes you to constantly feel like you need more sleep, then your current lifestyle exceeds your bodies ability to recover from it, and a chronic feeling of “I need a lay-in” is your bodies way of saying that you either need to reduce the overall “load” of your lifestyle, or you need to increase your efforts to support your recovery from that load. You’re right, everyone needs to rest and recharge. But the point of my video is that a chronic feeling of needing more rest is a warning for you to start listening to your body and to start caring for it more.

    • @captainplatinum

    • @StrongerThanLife
      @StrongerThanLife 8 месяцев назад

      That's awesome to hear. It's always good to hear when somebody finds the style of eating that works best for them. Removing the majority of refined carbs from the diet and replacing with good proteins and fats is something that most could benefit from.

  • @SicSeb
    @SicSeb 8 месяцев назад

    I agree, it is possible to do it but it is a very slow process. The performance thing I wouke day that intensity should be higher than normal. Really go to failure more often, do supersets and/or dropsets. Make sure your workouts are very intense but lower in volume. And switch between 'heavy' days and 'lighter' days where you would do more reps, but still go to absolute failure. Just my two cents.

    • @StrongerThanLife
      @StrongerThanLife 8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for you comment. Regarding the intensity thing, I agree, but also believe that we have to look at it within the context of the individual. If they're a novice, or not trained in many years, failure won't be required as they will be able to benefit from the "novice gains" affect. But once they've gotten some experience behind them and some good initial adaptations, things like failure, intensity and volume will certainly become more relevant.👍

    Really good advice. I need to reframe and I try very hard but keep falling. I have adhd and I’m convinced I’m using that as an excuse. Just found the channel. Will be catching up on your past videos. Cheers

    • @StrongerThanLife
      @StrongerThanLife 8 месяцев назад

      Thank you. When it comes to reframing, sometimes we need to identify the story/narrative we’re telling ourself that’s preventing us from changing. Once the story is recognised, we have a greater chance of reframing it and then, actually acting in alignment with the new one. So, for example, based on what you said above you likely have a story that runs along the lines of “because of my adhd, I can’t/I struggle to…”. In this case, I would try to identify what this story allows you to maintain (that you don’t want to lose or stop), and what it allows you to avoid (that you know you have to have to do). Doing this will help to give you a clearer picture of other stories that might also need reframing too, so that you can powerfully move forward in action and start crushing your goals.💪

    Major L bro. Fat loss or fat gain is a matter of energy utilization. The energy we use is referred to as calories. Adipose tissue (or the fat on your belly) is literally a stored form of energy. 3500 calories per pound to be precise. If you maintenance is 2000 calories and you eat more than that on average, You will again weight or excess adipose tissue. If you eat below 2000 calorie maintenance you body will search for another source of calories to maintain homeostasis. Thus a 500 calorie deficit with no exercise will net you about 1 lb of fat per week. If you stay in in that deficit and you do cardio, where you’re burning 500-1000 calories per session then the rate at which you lose fat is 2-3lbs per week on average. It gets complicated when you call it a “restriction” because it implies you’re cutting particular foods out of your diet when that does not have to be the case. It simply a matter of energy utilization. The quantity of calories you eat everyday determines on of the following . “Am I using energy from what is being consumed and storing the rest as fat?“ Am I using energy from what is being consumed and searching for another source (fat tissue) to maintain that metabolic baseline?” “Are the calories I’m consuming today have enough energy to maintain the weight I am currently at (calorie maintenance)?” If none of that makes any sense just watch videos on the diet of two groups of people: Sumo wrestlers vs Anorexia

    If you want to keep the weight off, clean out your system. Natural hygiene. Fruit and vegetables in their purest form will do that, along with fasting. This gives your body the energy it needs to catch up and get rid of the toxins in your body. Give your body a chance to catch up and it will heal itself. Make it a lifestyle choice to eat more living foods that are high in water content and enzyme-rich and avoid dead ones. Natural life-giving foods versus concentrated, processed, dead foods. The fact that you think it's a "woke platitude", suggests to me that you aren't living your own best life and instead, have likely just settled for what is. Now, if you're happy with that, that's fine. But if you aren't, perhaps you could change a few things to help you live your "best life" too... Nothing woke about that. It's simply refusing to settle for less than one's potential in life and not accepting the mediocrity that many get stuck in.
