probably because the a6/7 are more premium than the a5 and also cost alot more. makes sense that a higher range car has better sound quality dont you think?

@@TimelessKosmosspecs basically the same. And A6 is priced very similar to the A5 in the UK. Advanced system is the one that is better but that’s no longer an option and it cost 3 times as much as the comfort and sound pack or what is now called the tech pack

@@penontonyoutube6006 we disagree - if nobody cared about soundstage, car manufacturers wouldn't invest so much in the R&D of speakers, both in terms of the physical design and also the software, in order to create a better sound stage.

Everything is stock except for the speakers themselves - even the wires are stock. I later changed the head unit; there was a significant improvement there.

This is without an amp - only the speakers and spacers (the speaker's mounts) were changed, everything was left stock, including all the wiring and radio.

@@675nt9you need to amp them! The difference between stock and Focals is not even close to what will happen after an amp. It will go from 2x better to 10x. Get a kicker key 200.4 with DSP. $270 and easy to install with the wiring harness you can buy from crutchfield

Definitely need an amp. I have JBL components and sounded really good with the stock radio. Once I put an amp connected into the amp high level inputs. The speakers really shine, way cleaner and powerful. Although it may sound good without an amp but you’re really missing the full potential of your speakers.

Completely stock from the factory.

It's not bad, but it could be much better. It lacks depth and detail, with a lot of bass and not much mid and almost no highs.

We'll try to get one done, but that may be difficult as here in Thailand the Vios is being phased out, in favor of the Yaris Ativ (basically a 4-door Yaris with the same 1.2 liter engine).

You're correct, but this is the HP number for the Hybrid version. The 1.8 petrol-only engine actually makes significantly more power. Both use the same basic engine, but the hybrid's engine is significantly detuned.

We respect that everyone has their own driving styles. Here's where we disagree - most of the shifts in the video were done for a reason. Secondly, the point of videos like this, and also press cars such as the one shown in the video, are to show and demonstrate what the car can (or can't) do, so we believe what we were doing is perfectly reasonable, and also shows how the car drives and shifts. Also, these transmissions were designed to be shifted manually, and to shift lots. As long as you maintain your gearbox regularly (flushing the oil, changing the filters, not over revving), the transmissions are likely to be fine. Again, each to their own - we just wanted to explain ourselves!

Noise isolation isn't bad, but the hybrid system and engine does produce quite a loud hum (compared to the Corolla or the Camry). NVH is rather average. The suspension is on the softer side; not at all sporty or responsive. Generally a decent, comfortable, family car in our opinion.

These speakers are "co-axial" speakers, meaning they have tweeters mounted on top of the woofer cones (therefore we have 4 woofers and 4 tweeters mounted in the stock positions). However, we do not have any separate tweeters installed (such as on the doors or on the dash).
