How to make a life-size sculpture mold
1-Introduction
With this video, I want to share with you all that my 23 years of mold-making has taught me.
I have watched many instructional videos on different subjects where I end up with more questions than answers. In this mold-making video, I walk you step-by-step through the whole process and fill in the blanks so you can successfully make a great mold.
Molds are an investment and I want your project to succeed.
2-Shimming
In this chapter, I talk about the importance of shimming and the reasons for it. Each mold is so individual. Quite often, the decisions you make on shimming will be the difference between a good mold that is a pleasure to use for years, or a mold that causes you grief...

Is there any way of making a full-scale statue using a 3D printer? Possibly making a mold and using concrete to fill it?

If you were to do a life sized sculpture of a person how expensive is it exactly, from start to finish? And how much would you have to get paid to make it worth while?

Where are the videos? I'd love to learn how to do this. I know I can, I just don't know what material is best to use for such a big project. I don't want to invest the time and money into something that will just crack on me and fall apart.

Wax based clay, if u read some of the comments you’ll find people noticing the dog in the background disappearing little by little it is bc and like many artists, after the sculpture is finished they create a mold so that they can sell it to companies that use them to sell high quantities of the sculptures and its usually with stone, bronze or concrete, and so after the artist finishes with the mold he then reuses the clay for other sculptures instead of buying a bunch more (saves alot of money)

Is it foam you are using for the base, and then what kind of clay? I didn't even know you can use clay to make a bronze sculpture, by molding it. That's really cool.
