Hello. I have a connection through android auto, when I listen to music and receive a phone call after the end of the call, the music plays without sound and every time I have to turn off carlinkit and then turn it on again. my car vw jetta mk7 media system composition media.
Please try the following solution. Step 1: Search the box WiFi (AutoKit_***) on your phone, enter the password 12345678 Step 2: After successful connection, visit 192.168.50.2 in your phone's browser to enter the background. Step 3: Click "Settings" >> select "Media Category" to the "CD".
Chrome browser didn't work for me. Tried Firefox and it connected and updated first time. Now works in car mg4

Chips and memory are all different.
This didn't work for me. It is saying turm off wifi everytime I click on update, even though wifi is turned off. So, can we uodate it via laptop?
If it's an Android get a different browser (don't use Google Chrome), or get an Apple phone to go into the background and update.

It disconnects approximately every half hour and says there was an error, this didn't happen before, I use Android, how can I fix it, I updated thinking that would fix it but it doesn't. when I use direct cable to the phone it does not disconnect, so it is a carlinkit 5.0 problem

@@carlinkitbusiness347 Thanks for the answer, I followed all the steps and it didn't work. I did a 30 minute trip and it was disconnected halfway through the tour. What else can I do to solve that problem?
Its a crap, DONT buy it. It has an USB-A port, but it doesnt work with that only with USB-C. It also keeps disconnecting - I tried to change the settings as advised on the guide I found and it helped for a while, but started to disconnect again (at least now it connects again by itself, before I had to unplug it and plug it in). The software shows that its up-to-date and still doesnt work properly. Its a nightmare and waste of money!

I have just followed these instructions and now my device is totally unresponsive and won’t power on. I DO NOT RECOMMEND UPGRADING, if it fails you have a very expensive piece of plastic. NOT HAPPY!

I bought it from Amazon about 5 months ago. Carlinkit support have told me they won't provide any service or support as I didn't buy it direct from them. Their only suggestion was for me to buy another one from them, which I definitely won't be doing.@@carlinkitbusiness347
Hi, I managed to connect the carlinkit 5.0 2-air to my car info system. However, I am not able to connect to the internet. For the connection of the device, I have turned on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Once the connection is established, the phone wifi was connected to the autokit 2.0 and bluetooth to my car. If I were to turn the wifi off, the system disconnected itself from my car. Because of this, I am unable to connect to the internet once my phone is connected to the carlinkit 5.0 device. Please help. What should I do? Thanks.
why are you turning your wifi off? just keep it on?
I have a problem with my 5.0 device. I successfully connect device, then appear welcome screen (which did not appear in your case) on my infotainment. It want me to click on continue button, but when I click on it, nothing is happening. Exit button is working, but not continue button. I have Kia Proceed MY2019. I have no issue with my wired AA.

I have purchased the carlinkit 5.0 from the carlinkit official website, it doesn't connect the apple carplay automatically whenever I enter my car, I have to make several attempts to connect it, Also it gets disconnected in the middle and doesn't get reconnected again for the whole journey. My car only has one USB A input, is it possible to start Android Auto with carlinkit5.0 and place the pen-drive in the carlinkit5.0's USB A and play the songs on the pen-drive while Android Auto is running? Because when I connect the pen-drive to USB A on the carlinkit5.0, the multimedia recognizes the pen-drive but Android Auto is unavailable

What to do when it says turn off wifi even wifi is off
I had the same problem. If you are using Chrome it will happen. Then I used Firefox and the software update worked. After this Carlink is working fine for me.

If it is compatible and cannot be connected, try going to the background settings page. 1. Startup delay 1 or 3 or 10 2. Select CarPlay/Android Auto as the connectivity mode. 3. Turn on synchronization mode 4. Ignore Bluetooth and reconnect the phone
Uma pena que não funciona para os carros da Toyota vendidos no Brasil. Testei esse modelo 5.0 em um Corolla Cross e num Corolla XEI e mesmo fazendo atualização, não conecta. Vou tentar entrar em contato com o suporte para ver o que vão orientar.

O mesmo acontece comigo. Simplesmente não consigo parear o smartphone com o Carlinkt por Bluetooth. Acho que esse aparelho está com defeito. Já tentei fazer atualização do Software e firmware mas não resultou em nada. Aparelho comprado no Aliexpress. Vou tentar devolver e rever meu dinheiro.

It works on my apple device smoothly but I cant connect my android device. When I pair bluetooth it pairs, but when I click connect nothing happens. The Bluetooth logo of the autokit_xxx is different from the other bluetooth devices saved from my device.

What car, does the car have wired CP or wired AA?, reset it, start delay 1 and see if it works, if it doesn't you may need to upload logs@@tunabbq6455

I had the same problem guys, I am using carlinkit 5.0 on my 2020 GMC Acadia, this is what worked for me.... I update carlinkit firmware wirelessly via my phone, and used Firefox browser for upgrade process, chrome and edge did not worked for me. Once the firmware is upgraded repeat the process again until you see the message that you have the latest firmware, Then I connect to my car stereo via Bluetooth and then connect to AutoKit via Bluetooth, and as soon as connected to Bluetooth, I connect my phone to Carlinkit via cable as well, then I got the prompt in the car stero for permission, allowed it. Once that part was done, my phone was connected and Andriod Auto or apple carplay icon on the car stereo was active, I make sure it's working while the cable is connected. Then I disconnected the cable. Power off and on my phone Bluetooth. And now I am able to coonect wirelessly. Make sure phone's wifi is also on. Hope this helps
I got this POS from Amazon for my Nexon! Did not work..requested a replacement from Amazon. Got the replcement and the second one also doesn't work. the Android auto option never comes up when it is connected. Waste of money

It just does not get connected to bluetooth. My phone recognizes carlinkit and prompts to pair. Post that, it does not connect. I have tired with multiple phones and have the same issue. When i tried to update the firmware, it keeps prompting to connect to data network when I am already connect to data and not wifi. Is there a solution to this?

Thanks but the negative point is on my Toyota Yaris Hybrid, brand new, it cannotbe reckognized when pushing the voice command key on the wheel, have to go to the screen, this is not good at all. It says, no device reckognized. Really bad since this is essential !
