Nice update video :-) I heard a while back that there was a chance that Czechia were going to back out of the contest. After doing some research, I see that they have decided to stay but are choosing their song internally this time around. As for the whole judges vs audience debate, if I'm being honest, I tend to side with the judge's points more often than the audience's. This year, "The Code" was my favourite and I felt neither here nor there about "Rim Tim Tagi Dim". The year before, I wasn't a huge fan of "Tattoo" but I liked it WAY more than "Cha Cha Cha". The year before again, I thought Sam Ryder's performance far outweighed "Stefania"… you get the gist.

Hi Matt!! God Eurovision 2024 feels so long ago now. Glad Switzerland and Croatia did so well. Both were great songs and Nemo probably edged it for me. Great to see Ireland do so well. So happy that the Risk RTE took completely paid off. A lot of the issues weren't SVT fault (the Israel situation and the Dutch DSQ). But i thought they would go all out especially with the 50th anniversary for Abba's win. But i think Abba not appearing (i am not counting the abba Voyage thing) took the sting out of the contest. What did stun me was Finland getting Jury votes and not doing well in the televote (with a certain country scooping up the televotes). That did surprise me. Finally would like to see a certain Canadian appear at eurovision 2025. Well she came to Paris.. .

Nutsa has the best vocals and great performance! She has powerful energy and talent, she will make a masterpiece out of any song!She is already a world-class artist! I'm rooting for her and wish her victory!

It's sad that the whole contests is overshadowed by a lot of crap right now, but I'll still try to enjoy the contest. Croatia isn't my favorite song of the year (that's Norway) but I want them to win the whole thing because that would give everyone good vibes, and that's what we all need ! The trio Serbia Finland Portugal is very distasteful running order in my opinion, it might give all 3 songs a chance to shine but still that will feel very very weird. At least Portugal will come out of this the best I think and that's awesome, they deserve a lot with that masterpiece.

Hugely shocked that Lativa got ahead of Belgium. I didn't see that coming at all. But I wasn't impressed by the staging tbh. I wonder what Denmark needs to do to get through. While I think they don't need to a Ireland style revamp they might want to have a minor rethink

Always nice to have your analysis, so I don't need to work out the stats myself.

So Slovenia for me was the big shock- especially over Poland. I know people were surprised about Australia however i really wasnt. The staging and the vocals were not up to scratch at the end (i will be interested in the voting) Ireland seemed to have the biggest reaction (not a surprise) and could be a dark horse in the final. It shows RTE made the right call. And Bambi did an incredible job on the night. Overall not upset about the semi final as all of my favs got through (and Finland)
