I some what agree specially one the psp games but as for 4 and Ragnarok I personally like the growth of the way he’s changed even though there are some things he says that kinda makes a plot hole but I just love god of war in general played the first one at 6 just overall love in general big fan of the franchise

These arguments are pretty bad. #1. If you’re replaying then that means you’re not obligated to re-experience every part of the story unless you want to. If you’re gonna use movies as an argument if I’ve already seen the movie and want to rewatch certain scenes that doesn’t mean the entire movie is bad #2. Replay-ability is a subjective term what many find replay able is a case by case thing. I don’t enjoy the iron wood section but that doesn’t mean no body does. #3. Wanting to skip certain segments or not enjoying certain segments in a game doesn’t mean the game is bad, it just means that part isn’t as good as the rest of it. If I find a plot hole in a movie or TV show does that mean the entire thing is bad? #4. If a game isn’t replayable to you that doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad. Replay ability is a factor sure but it’s not the most important one, I’ve met plenty of people who beat a game and never play it again. It’s not because they dislike it, they just have other games they want to play. I personally don’t want to replay games like grant theft auto 5 but I’d never say the game is bad. Also please stop trying to make baseless claims because YOU don’t see it. Unless you’ve talked to every Zelda fan about the water palace and if they have a file to skip it, then it’s probably not the best option to treat it like fact. Same with God of war if you don’t enjoy iron wood or the walk and talk section again that’s fine but that doesn’t mean everyone on planet earth hates them. To end on a positive note your editing is solid and you have a very solid audio quality.

I’m currently trying to replay Ragnarok for the 3rd time since I haven’t done new game+ yet and I just got to Atreus’s part the other day and I’ve been dreading it! It’s way much longer then it needed to be they really should’ve allowed us to skip it even the first time I was ready to go back to Kratos after 20 mins of it

God of war ragnarok, Last of us 2 and forbidden west has the same problem to me I played all once but I never finished forbidden west and have no plans to return to be honest.

Do you know my annoying that you already know what you need to do to solve the puzzle but the game keep telling you how to solve a puzzle that is my experience of the game

I think in the age of the gaming backlog and the availability, replayability just isn't as much of a deal anymore With so many awesome options, there is no need to replay a game when they know you would rather have a new experience

They could add something different like a boss fight with the snake, Or fighting on the back of the snake and you could control the snake, a Pegasus fight scene, taking control of Thor etc but instead you get bs filler walkie talkie. Biggest disappointment on the Playstation is the new GoW games.

Dismissing Atreus section, most of Kratos moment is just walking too, and hear old man regretting his past choices and gaslighting his employers.

Lol I replayed twice and I absolutely hate all the atreus parts. Sometimes I get the urge to play again but then I remember the atreus parts and I say nevermind 😂.

I keep saying. I hope they dont remake the OG games, instead remaster like shadow of colossus. I see that in the new God Of War, they give the wrong impression of Kratos as a Unrational beast, which that was just in GOW3. In GOW1 he was actually very calm guy and even bothered with people and listen and sometimes tried to save them

I actually liked Atreus gameplay, but I didnt like much the so many "cutscenes". I couldnt just lay and watch. I was forced to go around walking and nothing much. But that happens a lot in the new GOQ series

You can like something overall but not all of it. This is one of those times. Ragnarok has a pacing issue, and while I didn't mind Ironwood the first time, what little enjoyment that section has will be gone when I replay the game.

I finished the game and haven't bothered with replaying it, but the game is at best painfully mid. Solid soundtrack, solid voice acting, ans even the boss battles are mostly good. Otherwise the story brought things down, and Atreus is annoying.

DMC5 kept the old formula and it worked for them

I love every part except Atreus parts he just sucks. That said I’ve replayed it 7 times not counting new game plus and Valhalla dlc, I’ve also done the same for all previous GOW, even still have a PS3 to replay the old GOW games. I do hate the constant reminder of “follow the path or explore “ “remember it’s your choice brother”-mimir

This is the reason why I cannot even complete RDR 2, let alone replay it.

Let’s be real. Most modern games have zero replayability after you beat it the first time and not just PlayStation but across all platforms aside from Nintendo first party and even a couple of those I don’t want to replay after beating them. The problem Mainly is that older games were ports or remakes of arcade games which were made to be replayed over and over again. Now that arcades are pretty much dead and now AAA games are what everyone wants most don’t make games to be played again and again after beating them. The same holds true for movies, most of them I don’t want to watch more than once either because once I’ve seen the story, that feeling of excitement and surprise is just gone.

When i replayed ironwood i was like it probably wasnt that bad….Holy shit its even worse than i remember, it was so annoying i couldnt continue the replay.

Yes but only if ironwood is skippable because its so slow, ragnarok as a whole doesnt have that many walkie talky sections to actual gameplay compared to 2018, at least it felt like it, i hated 2018 but enjoyed ragnarok quite a lot

I understand him walking and jumping around little bit, but playing him fully for me makes no sense, if game was co op, ok but this was unnecessary, and to many combos to remember... Kratos had 3 weapons 6 special moves at core, not to mention that you can have more, and like 10 attacks per weapon... game is extremely taxing with 1 main character, not 2

Why would I watch Kratos whine and complain about my favorite parts from the first 3 games a second time? Once was more than enough

ironwood was so bad when i was replaying it i finished and just couldn't play more cuz it killed me also first time i made it i was in torture, hated it

The thing is that he refuses to take responsibility for his actions, and that he suffered the consequences for it. Yeah, he was fucked over by the gods but at the end of the day, he chose to do those evil actions for his own selfish gain.

i recently finished GOW ragnarok and i have to agree that i dont see myself playing this game EVER again lol. Also yeah, Atreus part sucked so much balls, i just kinda dont like the guy. If they will make Atreus the main protagonist in the next game i am just skipping it.

I dread replaying Ragnarok for this reason. The game kept me engaged the first time around for the story. Everything else felt like a chore. The combat was also mediocre

The only puzzle I had a hard time with, which ended up taking me forever, was the Freyr statue side quest.

Honestly i think i liked the atreus sections more than msot, because it was a rare moment without 3 characters and that meant kess constant yelling and tutorials/ forced hints As for a fix? I think it's easy Options - hints - off Problem solved

Replayable? I couldn't finish it "TO YOUR LEFT BROTHER, TO YOUR RIGHT BROTHER" ugh honestly though, since uncharted 4 tutorial, I feel like this shit has been really annoying
