    I tried one machine last night and couldn't get the finger sensor to work. Tonight the "brain" that's strapped around my chest continuously blinks a green plus sign. Can't get it to stop, even removing the batteries and re-installing doesn't help. Two strikes.

    1 connect belt around chest make sure its a snug fit 2 put on finger sensor and tape it on 3 put on nose sensor and tape it each side 4 device will turn on automatically when belt is connected 5 3 icons come up on top of device one for each senor. once all sensors are attached and ok , icons turn green then go out 6 go to sleep..............or try to 7 in the morning if you press the button on the front briefly then four segments should show on top of device if all four are green then device has enough data. If no segments show then take device of and leave for 15mins then press button again and segments should come up,

    Hi, I'm a RN. I'd like to think I'm very well versed in hooking people up to pulse oximeters and canula equipment . I hate this device. I couldn't get the the belt light or finger light to stay green no matter what I did. I hope this recorded what it needed to (because at $650 every 24 hrs its kept at home - just my crapy insurance thanks a lot Providence) I feel like there is no guarantees that this obtained the necessary data.

    I have had two "in the lab" sleep studies in the past, so I was really interested in this system. Now that you have decided to lose the gum, I can tell you that one time through the tutorial and I had a trouble free first time donning of the equipment, Thanks. I will say that I will be curious to see the results. Without any EEG electrodes, I guess we won't know what stage of sleep I'm in at various levels of snoring. Being in my own bed should have made the test easier, but I never had trouble in the lab, and actually preferred the wire leads there, to the plastic "box" strapped to my chest. Pretty fitful sleep, but the equipment seemed to work all night and no problem with understanding what was operating. Have a three night schedule planned before returning. The only strange thing about the directions, was an ominous appearing statement about having only 48 hours to complete and send it back. It had to sit in "quarantine", in our home for a day, due to Wuhan Pandemic and a plastic package. Even without that, a 3 night study would have been difficult to accomplish in 48 hours after receipt({;-{0 I hope I can have the results faxed to me, as well as my provider.

    Does it matter which finger you put in the probe ?

    • @Anniiiiiiiie
      @Anniiiiiiiie 4 года назад

      The index finger of your non-dominant hand is recommended but the sensor can be placed on any desired finger. Route the sensor wire over the back of your hand and secure to the back of your hand with the included medical tape. After several breaths with the finger sensor properly in place, the icon will stop flashing yellow and turn green. If the icon does not turn green, check the position of the sensor and make sure it is securely in place.

      Fook Utube yes it turns on by itself when you’re all connected there will be 3 green lights.. to turn off hold button down on machine for 5 seconds or it will power itself off after 30 mins.

    No offense, but this video is useless.. I’m sitting here trying to watch real videos and not cartoon videos so I can see what I’m doing wrong. My machine isn’t doing anything shown in the video, i would recommend next time if you want to give a helpful demo that you act like you are the person using it so people can see exactly what they should be seeing with the correct lights.

    I am about to do this home test. Now I use pillows and my back against the wall which I think helps my snoring at least. Should I use this device with these or just in a normal bed for my test?

      Try to simulate a normal sleep, what that may look like for you Vs. someone else can vary. Simulate your normal sleep.

      Sorry about the delay. Normally, you only need to wear it for 4 hours, but the more information the longer you use it the better a polysomnography tech or your doctor can interpret.

    Thank you very much for your information about s9 . I don't known what is mean epr on setting : off and full time and ramp only .. . At night I use machine s9 auto I use full mask but I use some time 2 hours to 4 hours and then I take off not comfortable . please could you tell me what to do thank you so much ..

    • @tessiertjt
      @tessiertjt 7 лет назад

      No problem, I am always willing to help. EPR is exhalation pressure relief-It decreases the pressure on exhalation slightly to make you exhalation more comfortable when on CPAP. Typically, the auto will increase in pressure throughout the night and sometimes I have seen it to go to too high of pressure. Further, I would always reccomend nasal pillows and chin strap before full face mask.

  • @longmai1884
    @longmai1884 7 лет назад

    Hi Trevor could you help please about s9 resmed setting unblock set max pressure 11 and mini pressure 4 is that ok or not .. in the morning I get up check last night .. I don't known what mean ahi 2.1 and some time 2.3 ..sleep report pressure 10.6 and leak 1.2l/min.. could tell me what is your normal setting for other person thank you very much

    • @tessiertjt
      @tessiertjt 7 лет назад

      I think that sounds like a very normal setting for an auto machine. AHI is the Apnea Hypopnea Index-On CPAP machines the machine approximates the amount of times you stop or slow your breathing. Normally, less than 5 and you should have no worries. That sounds very normal Long you must have a well fitted mask. In terms of pressure each individual will require a differing pressure ranging from 4-25-this is all based on anatomy and your breathing 10.6 is keeping your AHI less than 5 so it is working well for you. :)

    • @tessiertjt
      @tessiertjt 7 лет назад

      Yes. Of course going to a sleep lab is the method with the least chance of error. However, these tests work well for at home studies. They record-Airflow, when you are breathing, oxygen level and heart rate
