GBVS Rising: Beatrix Combos in Less Than 3 Minutes!!!
Beatrix has an endless amount of combo potential with her screen carrying specials and Delta Clock mechanic, she's insanely fun to use!
Like my last video keep in mind that I made these combos up on the spot, none of these are meant to be optimal, they are just me playing around and finding interesting routes.
Let me know if any errors in my notations, I'm always trying my best to keep them as accurate as possible but a few mistakes might slip through here and there, sorry!
No older videos to link, I'm learning with everyone else.

Here we go! A lightning fast Narmaya Combo Guide with notations included. Varies from beginner to advanced. It doesn't cover all routes but it will give you an idea how her combos are structured. With Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising announced, I made a super basic starter's video on how to play Narmaya. It should be helpful for people that want to prepare for Rising, or people that are already playing the game and want to learn Narmaya. Music: FFXIV - Battle Theme 1.x
You, my friend, are a true GOAT. I've seen a good amount of combos vids for beatrix but none so far have deemed it appropriate to put the annotations on screen.
It's the most time consuming part but I feel it's absolutely necessary if you make videos like this.
Any combo that ends in dp can be swapped to light dp as a sacrifice for damage in exchange for oki. She gets a safe jump setup on any light dp that hits an already airborne opponent.
That first combo is annoying because you need to be the right distance away from the wall to be able to bounce, so it's not entirely practical.
You start at that distance at the beginning of a match. Unless you are backed against one side of the arena you will always get to the wall with that combo. It’s definitely practical and the combo trial for the character uses a variation of that same combo without the raging strike.

Compared to every other character i cant just turn off my brain when i actually try to combo with her literally have to be on big brain timeing switching the stances
Even someone that's been using her for a while I'm still brain farting in the middle of my routes since there are new ways to combo with different enders.
Great video and super helpful for someone like me who’s just getting into Granblue for the first time. saw Narmaya’s projectile and immediately thought of Johnny, so I knew I had to play her. couple quick questions. are you playing on pad or stick/leverless? if it’s stick/leverless, does your button layout look like the legend you show at the beginning of the video? i’m really struggling to use the skill button when i’m combining it with heavy (using my middle and ring fingers at the same time on two different rows) and I am trying to do that pretty often out of the command dash. any advice you have is appreciated!
I'm a boomer stick user and this is indeed the format I'm using. When I use the skill button I am shifting my pointer finger down to press it most of the time. It just took alot of practice until it felt comfortable. Due to this layout I don't have a button for the dash macro so I don't have that particular button to use.

Any tips for performing the jSH after the 236H - U I just can't seem to have enough time to jump and it drops
236H recovers faster than you think try jumping a bit early.

@Taffom1 it's about getting a feeling for the timing, since the move doesn't launch as high as it use to the timing is a bit tighter.

Are these combos still viable in rising? Would you be making a video for narmaya in rising too?
These combos are generally obsolete, I've already made and updated video with some new combo ideas, however there is still potential for more.

For the combo string at 0:40, how do u switch stances from genji 5H into kagura 236H? It keeps on performing the genji 236H instead :(
214H allows you to cancel into any Kagura special so the notation will be 5H 214H 236H

I wrote it on paper to try to minimize mistakes too 😢.
what does jump SH mean. I tried doing the overhead but it's too slow. Is there something I'm missing?
j.SH is her EX Sengetsu. S is the input for shortcut specials so when you press S and H together you get the EX version of the move.
Are you switching stances after the first 236H? In my game, she is in her other stance after the first 236h. The 5H afterwards is different for me.
Yes, when you do 236H~U it buffers her stance changes. You'll see the butterfly icon when you do it successfully.
Why the good combos is only in the corner ?

Alot different. Feels like less neutral and space control more degenerate with abusing Dash L and skipping neutral with ultimate skills.

btw these are mostly all corner exclusive does she have any like long midscreen confirms or is it just short hit confirms into 236L on dawnfly or 214-236?
There is some juice midscreen but I was only able to scratch the surface. orz

It's her Raging Strike attack, the new mechanic they gave all characters that costs one Bravery Point to use.
This was a, just like the Narmaya guide, great! If you plan on making more honestly I'd love a guide on anyone, I'm trying to pick up as many characters as I can before rising comes out so I ain't picky!

Yep they reduced the power of a lot of moves significantly because they wanted to encourage the use of Ultimate moves and other new mechanics.
Ye, the problem about my character is her zoning, cause everyone can handle with fireballs with 50% of meter, and some of her best confirms don't even exist anymore, she's gonna be very difficult to use if they don't change things in the second beta.
Is that Narmaya costume in the PS store?
It was only available for people who entered the online tournaments series, though there's a chance they put it in Rising.
