Rift Breaker Meatal Terror - First Attempt
Is it better to produce the unit without mods or build them from a colony with full mod loadout?
you dont have one for multiplayer?
The most useless video for a beginner. Only confusion, mixed arguments, and you speak too fast !
Good God I lost track of half the things he was saying. He talked so fast, flicking around on screens, totally lost me :(
You definitely know what you're doing. Going to try out the game tomorrow. Love the sci-fi theme of this game.
The " John " Emma refers to is John Steele, the James Bond stand in from EVIL GENIUS 1. He was the " oh no, not him " top tier Super Agent that could hack your security and turn all your door's settings to 1, so he could just stroll in and kill at random. If you were successful, he was tossed onto your missile and fired into space with your doomsday weapon, where his corpse is still floating ( I assume ) during this game's time.

This helped me
Игра шикарная 🎉
Hope you play world expansion 3. I'm learning a lot from your commentary and enjoying The Riftbreaker playlist. I don't play enough RTS to figure it out on my own and it's nice watching someone who knows how to scout, what tech to prioritize, and what's important in the macro game.
Is there part 7 of this playthrough?
Nvm, found it
Clutch victory there. I'm new here so there's a lot to learn from your vids!

How much meth do you smoke
How did they summon a xenoplague swarm lord or whatever it called?
Walling off Patient Zero was so effective that you broke the game 😂😂. But on a real note, walling her off wouldn't too far fetched irl. You basically contained her in one location till you could find a decent way to take her out for good. Also minimizing the infection spread as well. Might be the only way to do this map
I think the issue is that patient zero seems to have no unique AI. Should be running around the map avoiding detection at all costs and infecting as much as possible. I also think that the opening 5-10 minutes should be more of a calm before the shitstorm. A panicked populace trying to evacuate with a horde nipping at their heels. At present there's no momentum to the swarm. A plague like this should see exponential growth. 1 becomes 2 becomes 4 so on and so forth. At a certain critical mass nothing will stop them save overwhelming firepower. Another, unrelated gripe is that the sandworm enemy doesn't really fit thematically. It's way too huge, and if it could burrow through all of the concrete and steel that make up the roots of a city with such ease than the fine soldiers of the Cepheus Protocol wouldn't stand a chance. Don't get me wrong I like the game, but it's far from perfect. You put on a fine showing. Aside from a little inattentiveness, which I also fall prey to. I am terrible at RTS.
Gà
You are a beast lol I can only get to like day 20
Doing a bit too much at once this time. Need to focus on supporting your offensive force a bit more, and micro'ing them a little better so they're taking advantage of their long range guns vs short range melee zombies. Avoid doing multiple offenses at once so you can actually see and react to what's going on. More than a few times you had them sitting behind a hard barrier, letting not just the little zombies but the big 'un to walk right up to them before they can even fire. When they're just going to stand around you need to position them so they have long fire lanes, not letting zombies just round the corner on them from nearby. It's especially important with your assault vehicles who are a little too cumbersome to maneuvre freely inside a city. Btw, since your assault vehicle can use a heavy weapon whose capability is unavailable to troops, you might get a lot more value out of your very limited number of those vehicles by using the heavy cannon. Two of them side by side would just obliterate big zombs and nests, so basically you just need to escort them around the city with your troops. And if shit is hitting the fan, don't be afraid to retreat a little so you can gather yourself properly before re-engaging. Especially if there's an emergency popping up elsewhere. Give your forces an order to retreat back to a safer position before you go put out a fire, so you only have to deal with one big problem at a time. If you're going to use a large strike force of troops, break them up into small squads in your control groups so you can maneuver them a lot easier in battle. That long line of your mass of troops is terribly ineffective. Speaking of which, you can actually change their formation. Using a formation in battle NOT meant for just marching would improve your troops combat effectiveness a little at least lol. Advance your forces at least up to the DNA so that your scientists can safely harvest em. Just sending a bunch of them out into no-mans-land can easily be a death sentence. You've got a great economy but having to constantly replace troops is slowing you down and getting you into increasing amounts of trouble. Lastly, you can send civs from other zones to evac into zones with evac heli pads. It's on the op or strategic center or whatever. Have to select what zone to send them to.
Nice job spreading out and managing multiple projects at a time. I would suggest forgoing walls for a little (unless an outpost is in an active hostile zone) and just use troops and vehicles until things are more-or-less stable. Much less micro and fine control needed this way. Only need walls when a location is at risk of being overrun and you can't afford more troops. Also, ground vehicles are pretty good at the start to help ferry stuff around, especially when moving around a threat-response force. The initial heli is good but more transports means a quicker response force. Of course, it's unnecessary until you have the money and the forces that need ferrying. Once you've got more time to spare you can start replacing your mobile troops with fixed defensive emplacements, and funnel those now-free troops into your offensive force or to reinforce the hotter zones.
What are you talking about walling in the AI is among the finest RTS traditions of which players have been engaging since the earliest days of RTS.
😂😂
Well done! I can't even beat the game on hard difficulty, so your Riftbreaker survival videos are very helpful for me personally. Nice gameplay and useful comments, I like it :]
No worries, definitely is achievable to beat the game on higher difficulties - keep at it!
Man the lack of unit automation annoys me too much to play this game. They just stand there, not even trying to look for cover... damn
True but cover unless fully protected doesn't stop the zombies too much. Against other humans maybe?
Welcome to the vast majority of RTS gaming lol And what is cover going to do? Zombies don't exactly have small-arms fire you need to cover against.
@@FiltyIncognito Correction: welcome to finicky "strategy" wannabe games (Men of War being the most iconic), where every nation has run out of half decent soldier long ago and now fields retarded subhumans missing half their brain instead.

Looks really interesting man! I downloaded the demo ;), edit: the game gets better and more complex as you go actually, thanks so much for the recommend! The graphic style/sound design is pretty unique imo. Take it easy Foxxeel.
Same here, I can't wait to play it on release. Back at you! :) The third level is an actual taste of what the game will be like, reminds me of They are Billions
Just sub, can’t wait till dev solve the lag issues that sometimes make my game frozen in time 😂. This game have a good potential in the future. 👍
Same here, it never used to lag this badly. Thanks for the sub!
This was much shorter than I expected. Going to make another play through on the newer map then make some tutorials about how to play the game :)
Even if the video is 1year old, it was a good help for me today, ty 😊
Glad it was! Not sure how much the game has changed since last year?
@@foxxeel7706 not that much but i feel like there is more little waves between big waves, so its pretty difficult to stay focus on expend and economy 😅 there is more difficult lvl
Nice man! That ending lol
Its really cool to watch this years later and realize how much great QOL was added since
Any stand out QOL changes? I haven't played the game in a long time

hello, i have a question whould you play version 1.0 also on titan mode? i whould love to see it :D

Hi Foxxeel! Got the game recently and have been playing empire mode mostly. Started a game with Oathbound/Celestial, and made the exact same decisions in the early game as you recommend here, but I don't think Arc was the right choice for this race. It doesn't synergize well with the unit's attacks and I found it a bit underwhelming compared to other races. You gave clarity how to use the seers better, I definitely wasn't using them to their fullest potential. I know I'm a bit late but great content, thanks!
spreading love for a fellow small channel :)
Thank you <3
Seemed like a great video, however I think it is no longer applicable with so many changes the game has had. Wished you could update if possible.
click your mouse less hard XD
Thank you for explaining
You can load assault troopers onto your heli and have theem shot down on the zombies. Inaccurate but good for rapid reaction or keeping your flank covered. Get the grenade launcher to really rain down some serious firepower. Or you could load the heli up with engineers equipped with SMAWs. Not much ammo but quickly destroy the zombie nests. Just don't use explosives anywhere near your own guys. A misplaced nade/rocket will wipe out entire squads or your buildings. And watch out for juggernauts. You can manually dodge the things they throw at helis but left to their own devices it's a one shot with that starting heli.
That gives justification to build engineers outside of the two I usually have for base building. Do the SMAW outdamge heavy weapons team? I saw some of the upgrades but their doesn't seem to be much difference between the weapons unless I am missing something?
@@foxxeel7706juggernauts go down in 1 or 2 hits, zombie nests 2 or 3 hits. A chopper full of engineers can clear out a whole region in a couple of attack runs. But with only 6 missiles per engineer they eat through ammo crates faster than anyone else. The snipers can fire through whole conga lines of normal zombies and enough of them can take juggernauts out before they get close to your base. And scientists equipped with flamethrowers. They can lockdown approaches from normal zombies very easily and make short work of zombie nests. They can kill juggernauts as well but likely to get stomped on. My on the ground squads are normally 6-8 assault, 2-4 heavy, 2 medics, 2 flamer scientists and a radio operator. I keep snipers at base or I drop them off on tall buildings for overwatch as my squad advances. I think the devs have done a good job with options the player has for play style but those zombies need more options to outwit the player. Too easy to early game rush the 2 bridges, blow one up and fortify the other. This traps patient zero on her starting island and funnels all her forces down one bridge. I love playing turtle style but even I think the zs need a way to get behind my lines. Anyway, enjoy the gaming dude.
Ty for this good info. There is not much explanations out there
Yes there was even less when I started playing - glad it's helpful :)
