    Shad for me, way to smooth, skallwill loose quickly imo. Neither are swordsman and move through their core properly. With that footwork id say both are amateurs, and never had real fights nor sparing in their lives. Shad can actually weild a sword with speed. Ya cant fight properly nicely. With 2 hours of training shad i beleive could have him beating skall every time, i cant say the same vice versa, skall just cant use it properly yet, not enough years and too new to it. And martial arts in general.imo

      @@Apperceptive_Swordsman I mean I just watched it now and your initial intro of the two is video of Skal fighting while you explain he's in a club, then you show Shad fighting an unnamed person while you explain he claims he was in kendo but we haven't seen it (to be clear you said this, "we haven't seen it", that's not my explanation). If you know more than that you didn't actually say it in your video. Like I've been watching Shad for years and I've just realized today he's never been shown fighting anyone besides testing some weird weapon against a passive opponent. I'm specifically looking for him fighting anyone for real now so if you have that I want to see it, but this whole video is just you interpreting from the same two clips, one of each fighter.

    • @Apperceptive_Swordsman

      @RussOlson-pl3kf he faced people at a LARP event and members of a HEMA club who were obviously not cooperating with him, which is the main footage I used

    • @RussOlson-pl3kf
      @RussOlson-pl3kf 10 дней назад

      @@Apperceptive_Swordsman Did that footage come from him? Like what I'm getting at is this doesn't really make sense. I'm a kendoka and we wear masks all the time or you can't fight. You said Shad trained kendo in Japan, although he doesn't really specify so you're not sure, but then he's only worn a mask once. That tells me he's never trained at all anywhere if he's never worn basic equipment. That's why the source of the footage of him actually fighting matters so much. I'm digging for evidence that Shad has actually trained or fought anywhere and it has to come from someone other than himself. If anyone has anything then I want to see it.

    • @Apperceptive_Swordsman
      @Apperceptive_Swordsman 10 дней назад

      @RussOlson-pl3kf my guess is that his kendo experience isn't very substantial. He may have never actually gotten to the level of sparring. I have no idea. But yea the match against the HEMA practioner was an event that he was invited to, he didn't orchestrate it, and he claims it's his first time wearing a helmet with a longsword at least.

    This is like asking if a man who’s never entered an actual rim g before could beat a heavyweight boxer. Shads footwork is dogshit, his body is unhealthy and is winded easily, he has very little actual experience, he’s overconfident and just wrong about fighting, most of his videos are him fighting his employees and it’s clear that they know nothing and just let him wail on them. Shad is a glorified LARPER, skal wins no diff.

    My money is on Skall, though I agree 100% with what he said. It's nothing against Shad, just that Skall trains (or did, or does intermittently, I have no idea), and as far as I know, Shad just does a lot of thought exercises and chopping random stuff with random things. Skall might lose if he is bicycle-injured...but on the other hand, he's married to a crazy sword-fighter person who also does this stuff...attacking him means taking on two.

    It seems like you'd have a lot less control, but it would work in those very specific situations. It would probably be a lot more effective with a shorter sword (say an arming sword or other one handed blade, since that's what someone would generally have as a sidearm) - just because it's less mass to control in a slightly awkward position.
