I have never seen such a disgusting comment section. The boomer cockroaches complaints about a unofficial mod are ridiculous. It would be like criticizing the original doom while playing Grezzo 2 or extreme weapons pack. Criticisms like "not fast enough" or "enemies take too long to kill" could well be applied to the OG doom games. These boomers would have to play quake or call of duty instead. It really seems like these people dont even know what the actuam doom eternal plays like. I actually think the OG doom games are better than the new ones but Ive never seen such stupid criticisms.

This isn't the evidence that the new game is too slow or boring imo. The original dooms have functionally zero verticality (save for some minor platforming) and the game practically aims for you. When you're trying to juggle verticality, low aim assist with advanced movement mechanics and more mobile enemies, the new dooms feel just as fast as the old ones. Walk speed is not everything. This however is a good example of how gameplay design influences map design and how old map design doesn't always translate well to new gameplay. Anyhow if you hate new Doom, there's about 1343523582358 hours wirth of Doom mods around and new GZdoom games out like Selaco. No shortage of fun.

Good job, I think the main point people are looking for is to get the Original Maps all in modern format, and to Mod the game engine to remove all the special "Lights" around all the enemies. Make it feel dark and disturbing without all the Neon effects

the first deaths all have unnecessary close-up hits. the shotgun at the beginning, you can't even hear the shots well, it sounds like compressed air. From these few minutes nothing seemed interesting from my point of view. although the graphics are great, i prefer the gameplay and graphics of “project brutality”.
