Firstly, in the last scene, you can see the looks of him from a close distance, and his shape of face is too sharp for a girl. In Japanese anime, men are drawn such too sharp chin, and women are drawn more round face. Of course it contains no discriminative purposes but you should remember there is a such style of expression in Japan. Secondly, many people here think why The Boy are training in such odd cloth, but, for me, I don't think his cloth are strange, because there are many Japanese men think they don't want to expose their chests even if in the training, so if we regard him as a boy, the scene is not strange at all. Lastly, when The Boy reads a book in his classroom, his costume is for male students. In Japan, regardless of genders of students, their school costumes are depend on their sexes. unfortunately, but it is true. In conclusion, I am certain his sex is a male, but I am not certain his gender, but this is a tiny problem because the most important problem is whether he enjoys in girl costume or not. Secondly, can you see the red sign attached to a telephone pole when The Stalker walks down the stairs? It's very blur , but a Japanese with good eyesight can recognize it. In addition to the opinion of war, I think the enemy is alien from space, because you can see the black sphere like moon is floating, and it's not thing made by human beings. And the tank fires electricity, do you know the weapon made by human fires electricity? It's not the war against human. Lastly, why only The Boy is able to become "a special executive candidate"（特別幹部候補生 means special executive candidate.）? And what is the effects like rainbow colored butterfly burst from The Pink when a enemy tank fires The Pink and The Stalker in the last scene? I think The Pink can use magic power, and the power is very strong and few people can use it, so he takes a duty call from government and military in order to fight to aliens. Moreover, these opinions can support the reason why he is in girl costume in military. Simply because he is strong, so there is no need to be in man costume or style suited battle, then he can wear costumes he likes.
