Ryan, I was part of the 16 man Lineman Team that built the upper catenary system in summer of 08. (1 of the two Americans on that project). i'm the guy dancing on the wire buggy on the Kemano Cat 2 project on You Tube. also it is me walking down the stairs after being dropped off by the helicopter on the newly built walkway and helio pad in the Kemano Powerline Pass video. i have many pics and videos in my personal library. That was a great project

I'm going on 30 years as a Lineman... So I will be one of those open positions needing filled when I retire. It is an incredible career! If you have the drive and passion, you can go far. If you don't particularly like hard physical work... You probably would want to find something else. You get out of it what you put into it. I have made an outstanding living financially from this job. Pay attention, your reputation is everything, especially as an apprentice. Don't be "that guy". Be the one they can rely on. Good luck!

years ago I took a collage placement test at a veterans hospital in MN, it turns out im autistic and they estimated my iq at 225, from that moment on i lost every shred of privacy in my life they tapped my phone and put hidden cameras in my home all without a warrant, and because what the sheriff did was illegal they wont admit im right these people hear everything im saying, I then started having incredibly vivid dreams and would repeat what was in these dreams to these people and they would know it to be true, thats when things got really weird because these people are/where literally testing me having prophetic dreams with god, they would do stuff behind my back to see what god had to say in my dreams (nobody believes its god they just want me to be wrong) the straight up truth about line work god has a really weird language, iot all comes from dreams im making nothing up for instance "taylor is hearing" it was a weird dream it was the literal owen taylor in a locker spying on me taylor= these people are listening to everything im saying line work is from the 44 dream, all they are getting is the truth its just the truth hurts in this dream these people where doing stuff behind the door to see what god had to say about what they where doing this is what i said in the dream, this is gods opinion of what their doing "you people REALLY pissed god off" ill get to the line work part, but all you are getting is the truth its just the truth hurts after that, i literally watched god vaporize all life on this planet, its been in many other dreams god is so pissed off at humanity right now that god is willing to kill everything on this planet including bacteria and just start over again, this has happened 7 times before this is the 8th time god has given this ultimatum to humanity gods message is very one spectrum right to the other so we can either create god literally said "MILLIONS of jobs" one of them being line work, because our power grid will need to get completely redone to work with a different type of power, like a plasma based power distribution system my name is theodore, its greek for gods gift people have been calling me theo for most my life theo is greek for god kinda put a whole new spin on theologian, i literally am being studied, its actually super annoying because people deliberately fuck with me just to see how i react, yes god is incredibly pissed off about this but nobody cares about gods opinion especially the police i know everything im saying sounds completely delusional, trust me ive dealt with an absolute mountain of hate over this the free masons are the biggest assholes on this planet god hates them bad but they wont listen to me at all, its not a joke god fucking hates the free masons and they deliberately keep making it worse instead of doing something about it give me a call or shoot me a text if you want 512-201-0288 do you know what else hurts about me speaking the truth? the bible has lies in it, its been edited by many too many times without gods input im not saying its not the word of god, im saying humans added stuff and took stuff out without gods input, the council of nicea in 325 AD, most religious people dont know about that i used to be atheist until god started talking to me i used to look for holes in religion and that a big one its fitting the place where we keep books is called a library, lie there is lies in these books like the bible ive learned allot doing this like how it says, good deeds and bad deeds both 67 times each in the holy quoran 67="THE LORD ALONE IS JUDGE AND I AM JUDGING QUITE HARSHLY AT THE MOMENT" the truth hurts, god is astronomically pissed off right now, and testing humanity and so far nobody is doing good

For everybody asking questions. You don’t need line school, Line school is a complete waste and will never lead to a job as an apprentice. When you become an apprentice, they send you to school for 2 years learning all of this while also getting on the job experience of 4/10s a week. You’ll want to find out your states region. Southeast like Florida/Georgia/TN and a few others is called SELCAT. California is called Cal/nev and is very competitive Wyoming is Mslcat You don’t go to line school to become a lineman. You go to your local IBEW union and sign up to be a Groundman. You will also need your Class A CDL, BLS CPR from AHA, and Flagger certification. You do Groundman for 2,000 hours or one year, and then apply to Selcat/Mslcat or any other Jatc programs. You’re also required to have Algebra 1 in highschool passed with a grade C or better, or you take a community college algebra 1 course or a Jatc math course. There’s Zero reason to go to line school, it will not get you a Job. Everybody whose doing line school gets out and does groundman for a year, like everybody else. Don’t waste your money or your time. Selcat by example mandates you go through their own line school… so, you’d be going twice. Huge waste of VA benefits and time.

And I promise you that SuperSqueeze will NOT let you fall. Just keep your 9 and 3 o'clock spacing and trust your belt. We usually get guys up to 30 feet by end of week one. 60 feet by the end of week two. And everyone has to climb the Big Guy.... 100 foot pole to graduate. Trust the process, you'll be fine.
