New Refinery at British Lead 2020
In 2020, we entered the year having had a £3m investment in an upgrade to our refinery to reduce our emissions. This project was successfully completed in April. The project was a challenge, especially during the pandemic, as we maintained a fully working plant around the refinery area at the same time as construction was happening. It was, however, a great success and has helped future-proof this area of our operations in Welwyn Garden City and reduce our emissions.

Don't use this if your house is south facing. The lead pointing sealant failed during summer hot days. It became weak and was cracking
Hi @4k3el, what is the alternative? I have exactly the same issue. It cracked in time and let the water go inside.

If the lead flashing is currently painted and peeling should you sand it before using the patination oil or what is the best thing to do?
Sanding lead? You got to be kidding right?
If using mastic to seal the gap, how is the upper brick supported at its outside edge?
Roofers can't point ... simple .
Just use low modulus clear sealant... Much neater finish.!

How can we remove overspill of the lead sealant?
I have used the Souldal equivalent lead sealant and it works very well,better than mortar.Just make sure the area is very clean,no dust or dirt.Very sticky stuff.White spirit does take it of if you get it on your hands or anywhere else.

Very good video, something I will need to do after the wettest February in the history. Just one comment - instead of saying 'mil' say 'millimeter' as that's the correct terminology. Mil isn't really a word, just a prefex and can mean milliliters, milligrams etc.
