I hope you have a great trip to Mull when you go, Loch Na Keal and Loch Scridain are just two of the places to find and photograph Otters and Eagles. 500mm f4 is plenty for Otters, just remember not to get too close and keep hidden, move into position when the Otter goes under, you will have anything up to 30 seconds before it surfaces again. Thanks for your comment, but I'm afraid to say that this is a female Hen Harrier. Clearly visible is the white ring at the rear of rump. It was actually flying along side the male Hen Harrier, out of shot, which is grey with black wing tips.
