Thanks! Excited about the way you set up the Dodge & Burn Curves layer and the helper layers. Only the Dodge & Burn layers we're on white instead of black, but luckily that is just an easy fix with cmd + i
This is probably because the 2nd color in the palette was white. If there is a black color, the mask will be created with a black fill. But cmd+i is also an easy way to fix it 👍

Can you explain the contrast and exposition adjustment layers? I see you moving the curve all the time so why use two curves layers? Why not just use one since you change it a lot? I would love a slowed down video on your dodge and burn process, I’m just learning this but you seem to be better at it than most other videos I find.
Actually, it's a lot of info about dodge and burn, I have the whole course on this technique.. And there are 3 slow videos. I mostly keep contrast the same, so it's easier for me to move only one point on the "exposure" curve, than move 2 points on the "contrast" curve and trying to keep the contrast in the photo. Hope, you can understand me.

hey, thanks for these amazig tutorials can you explain me how the amount of blur radius work in frequency separation? what is the difference between when we choose the low amount and high amount of that? for retouch eyelashes you said the low amount of blur radius helps you, why?
I set low amount for a small details and high amount for a big details. Actually my first FS and second FS it's like a two different techniques. For lashes and brows the amount is very low, so on the low frequence I can see the contour of hairs very well and on the high frequence remains only a bit of texture. This texture and noise will be above added hairs and will make them more similar to original ones. The same technique for eyeliner, lips and brows contour, but we need a bigger amount of blur than for lashes. For the 2nd FS the amount of blur is quite big. I use mixer brush on the low frequence, so my goal - no texture there. If some texture remains on the low frequence, I'll smooth it with a mixer brush. The texture of the skin makes the photo more natural and we should preserve it.
