Can you tell me how? I asked some organ creators and they said no but then again I’m not sure.

Hi Anton. It must be common knowledge that only one organ sample set can be loaded at a time. It has always been like that. Where did you hear that it was possible to load two organ sample sets simultaneously? Perhaps that would need two separate computers controlling different sets of MIDI keyboards and Pedalboard in order to achieve that sort of feat. Or how did you find out that this is possible with only one computer? 🤔 - Jonny

Can you please explain what you mean by "but the sound quality drops"? What and how does it drop? As in it's making cackling noises or something? Please clarify. - Jonny

Sure. Although with much lower latency and no cackling noises, some details are missing, such as the sound of switching stops' blurry; less sharper high tones and less deeper low tones. Also some particular characteristics of some stops missed, too. The overall sound is not as clear as before.

@@ClassicOrganWorks I don't think my Kawai keyboard knows anything about Hauptwerk. This is specifically a Hauptwerk question. If you know the answer please tell me as all the reading I've done on the Hauptwerk website doesn't explain being able to play sound through your input instrument. Ultimately, I just want to know if Hauptwerk allows you to use your keyboard not only as an input device but also as an output device to play the sound. My keyboard has all the necessary output ports.

The reality is that this is a computer/hardware question, because Hauptwerk is just the software. You would need to connect your computer's audio output to the audio inputs of your keyboard, not the outputs as you said before. If you want to try it, you would need to make sure first off, that Hauptwerk is set to the sound output setting on your computer in order to get sound. Then, to use your Kawai's built-in speakers, you would need to have a/the computer audio output cable(s) that will plug in to the L and R input audio 1/4' jacks of your Kawai. If you want to use the built-in speakers of your keyboard, it's possible, though you may have to consider the chances that (assuming your computer has a built-in sound card) the sound card might not play back in the highest quality of sound. And another potential issue that might come up is that you may want to find out how to mute the built-in instrument samples while using your Kawai as a MIDI controller simultaneously. Otherwise, you'll have sound playing at the same time from your keyboard and Hauptwerk. - Jonny

@@jrzzrj If you got it to work with sound coming out, then it worked. Our tutorial was mainly a recommendation to get the most out of Hauptwerk (hence the Audio Interface and how it works).

@@ClassicOrganWorks i have been having an issue with my asio driver its says that hauptwerk doesn’t recognize it but it had been working fine since I downloaded hauptwerk if you can help that would be awesome

It depends on which sample sets you get. Dry sample sets would be what you need if you want to use the acoustics of your building instead of the wet samples. However, from what I recall, with Hauptwerk versions V (5) and newer (VII (7) being the newest as of the time I'm typing this) has convolution reverb settings that you can set to your liking (might be a little different for wet sample sets). Hauptwerk versions earlier than V wouldn't have reverb settings built-in. I hope this helps. - Jonny

@@ClassicOrganWorks The issue has been solved since I left that comment. It turned out to be a function on the keyboard to switch between output channels had been accidentally changed. Once I found out what it was I also started using the same feature to switch between individual manuals without having to hold up other divisions using couplers when I can use that manual directly on a different channel.

How do i add an equalizer for hauptwerk because the bass power with my paramount 320 and 310 is inconsistent. The 320 has a powerful rich bass and the 310 has very flat bass

Those brackets were specifically made for the Fatar keyboards we were using there, so I will assume those would not work with any other keyboards. Plus, I do not think we manufacture those anymore, as they are not listed on our midiworks webstore.

Yes you can connect any midi keyboard with usb midi or 5 pin din midi out. I built a basic 3 manual stack from M Audio 61 es keyboards and midi pedalboard. It will give you the exact same sound obviously as spending a small fortune and easy to do . I bought my keyboards off Ebay. Wood for case about £60 , all 3 keyboards around £115 .
