There are 3 answers. 2 are solutions to quadratic. 3rd is infinity. Why no -ve infinity. Because e power term in denominator.

The trick for IIT JEE main seems to be that one should just focus on the easy questions and that art comes only by practice .If goal is to qualify for IIT advanced,just identifying and attacking those should help ,If goal is NIT ,attack the easy questions and then go for the few hard ones but get them right .

Very easy question also here is a trick to solve eq like these 4x+3y=a 3x+4y=b Add eq 7x+7y=a+b x+y=a+b/7 Subtract eq x-y=a-b Now its very easy

Why cant the area of f(cos2x) be zero . It is a function in cos2x and hence function can be anything . Why should the function result in a positive value only .
If f(cos2x) is defined as cos4x/cosx ,then the second integration would be zero . However cosx can become zero at denominator,so that is not allowed as function is continuous.Wonder if something similar can be defined that makes second integration zero
Actually f(cos2x)=0 would mean any value of alpha can be valid. As per question why is that not a valid answer .

@@sanjeevsir29077 Correct,the point is question is ambiguous .Given no info about f(cos2x) or f(sin2x) alpha can be anything . Assume f(cos2x)=0 and f(sin2x)=0 ,both are continuous definitions and does not violate the question . We have to make an assumption that the f(cos2x).cosx will not lead to zero ,that information should have been given . I am surprised nobody has pointed out this erroneous question before,unless I am missing something.
