i'm using the 2nd version of the Ulanzi fan. my concern with the smallrig is that the cooling system produces moisture. i experienced moisture with the mobile phone cooling system and i'm afraid to experience the same with my camera.
@@cyvidal10 interesting I can not imagine it gets so cold. That would mean in worst Case Sony might produce moisture in der FX-3 or FX-30 series?!? Hard to believe ...
@@S-LAB-TV The SmallRig version gets VERY cold but that has been a positive for me.

Hi How can I upload a video in 8k resolution to RUclips? I tried a lot but I did not succeed. The maximum resolution gives me 4k. I have the same camera that you have. How were you able to upload this video in 8k format?
It's pretty simple you just have to wait two or three days or 8k to be rendered out fully by RUclips. In case still nothing happens after two or three days just write an email to the support, they will restart the process. Rendering 8K takes much longer then HD or 4k!
Thank you for this review, I was looking forward to getting this mic. Your definitely getting a sub!
Thanks so much for your feedback and sub. I will try to keep you entertained & informed as much as possible! 😉
Im fascinated, how to you make the 3D interactive on youtube? Whats the secret? lol
You have to upload a 2D video with 3D data injected
I think Smallrig have Peltier "TEC cooling module" so yeah with enough power and time it can freeze water lol

Did you say equivalent to 50mm FF in Rocksteady Dewarp? So obviously that is in body digital crop in. Can you still record 4k 60 FPS in that mode or does that essentially cut that in half essentially turning 4k 60 fps in to 1080 HD at 60 FPS?
@@OnceDuringDadsLife sorry if I didn't pronounce precise enough - I meant 15 mm instead! Resolution will only go down to HD in case you record at 240 frames per second.
Is it possible to have Horizon Balancing with Ultra wide enabled?
@@karlcerdan this is two separate options. We are able to reach balancing by cropping into the video image, therefore loosing field of view ... (no optical stabilisation/balancing)

Rock steady, ultra wide is the game changer in 5pro, nobody can beat this
Definitely a game changer this cam, but to me it is more because of it's battery life and low light performance as seen here: ruclips.net/video/jpKeNkRZUvU/видео.htmlsi=NZYua4o_sAiDNZCD the field of view is somehow similar to other action cams the way I see it
Good, clear, concise & useful video. No fluff and marketing bloat. Keep it up.

The DJI P3 is hands down the king of low light comparing to all the current action cams…
Could be true, even though I have the impression that the Ace pro might be better in low light stabilization, so let's wait for the Ace Pro 2 ... 😜
Hmm, I don't know why my comment got deleted, but you're right, a bunch of these cameras claim 20-48 MP resolution and it's really 12MP and below. Search pardokidscamera, I think they are a manufacturer of bunch of these cameras and they have specs on the lens sensors - highest one I could find was 2MP on the 680B Flip Screen Print Camera. The rest of them are 1 or even 0.3MP. A lot of those higher resolutions are due to interpolation pixels.

thank for this video... you know if is possible to connect two DJI microphones at the same time to capture audio from both microphones.?
I am sorry, no, as far as I'm aware it is only possible to connect one microphone at a time. In case you want to go into more differentiated audio quality, stereo recordings, etc I would suggest to use the internernal recording function of both of the DJI Mic 2 parallel - and synchronize everything in post. This way you would also benefit of the possibility to record 32-bit, instead of the low quality Bluetooth internal recording into Insta360. If you want to dive deeper regarding the acoustic differences, which are pretty remarkable, you may also check out my specific review (sound comparison) on the DJI Mic 2: ruclips.net/video/13ijYwvdn7A/видео.html

i watched this video like 2 times deciding between the two mics. haha love your video! i think you've swayed me to pick the cm22. just with that different sound effects is kinda worth the additional cost.
He he thanks for now, and thanks for your feedback. I think I'm really looking forward to see if, in future, your conversations are going to happen without the red and blue cable ...
i actually went with the cm28 and it arrived same day, because after watching this again the whole recording into the mic itself was too hard to pass up. i was like, yeah, cm22 looks cool and has some more features but being able to record directly into the mic sold me. 100% the reason why i chose the cm28.
@@earl_raymond I understand your point very well and I would have decided the same. Besides that there are a few more affordable mics available on the market for example the BOOM X-D which I'm going to produce a review of soon in this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLlBJKagqPbsYGTe13sXotsgLgpiM-pyhp&feature=shared
Just ordered the CM28 for Prime Day and this video was the most helpful because you really exercised the range of it! My current mic gets too staticky even if I'm not far from it. But the range is exactly what i wanted it for! I almost forgot you were even on camera 😅.
🤣 yes of course this is pretty much possible that you lost me in between, since I was quite far away out in the fields ... (Please note, the range between cm22 and 28 was pretty similar, just keep in mind to always use internal Backup inside the cm28 for future recordings!!) The internal audio is being recorded very low to avoid any clipping, but you can boost the audio in post production with no problem whatsoever...
@@S-LAB-TV appreciate the input! If I can ask you a question, I got my CM28 and used it this past weekend, however, I'm still experiencing the audio static from a distance even shorter than how far you were. Any ideas? Could it be the settings on the receiver? If it helps, I'm using my Sony ZV-1F vlog camera to film.
@@thegrindtopar with wireless mics there might always be some interferences. Please note, when I was very far away I was most of the time using the internal recording function of the CM28! Internal recording is still the safest way, to record your audio. You can not modify nor intensify the wireless Audio settings as far as my knowledge goes. Please try to always use internal recording, at least as a safety backup!!!
@@S-LAB ahhh I'll keep that in mind! Thank you! I don't know if it makes any difference, but I was playing around with the mic and changed the settings in the receiver and it seemed to help. Increased the dB level and changed from stereo to mono.
@@thegrindtopar I agree, all these settings definitely make a change! Nonetheless, the radio transmission frequency quality will not be affected by that, as far as my knowledge goes.
Great video. I’m between the cm22 and the cm28 The cm22 has some more features than cm28 but 28 seems more ideal for quick content and bang for you buck overall.
You might be right. Plus it has internal recording option ...
I can't figure out how to switch my CM22 to stereo mode and have looked online for a manual and can't find one anywhere.
Just press the "DB" and "EXF'" button on the receiver parallel, at the same time, to switch between Mono-, Stereo- and safety track-mode
Very interesting! Thank you for pointing me to this video from the German original. What I've learned is that the built-in DSP noise reduction is TERRIBLE!
Interesting! Thanx again for your feedback!! 😸
Very well done comparison. I would like to know your audio processing workflow; EQ & compression and what program you use. I believe that video will definitely be worth watching.
Thank you so much for you feedback! But honestly: you might be surprised I almost never use EQ & compression in my videos, instead I prefer to simply normalize my audio levels. Of course, as you might have guessed already: in this comparison here, there is no EQ, nor any kind of compression applied (in order to provide the most objective reference to you!). But also, as mentioned above in most of my other videos I simply normalize the audio-footage. From time to time I add a decent soft compression ...
Very good video, I'm looking for a method to be able to make motovlogs with an insta360 X4 and record the voice at the same time. The X4 is going to be on the motorcycle and has to withstand rain and inclement weather, so putting a receiver and losing water resistance is not possible. The microphone inside the helmet with a lavalier. Any other option? In your opinion, apart from the DJI, what other Bluetooth microphone can provide better sound quality? Thank you very much in advance and keep up the good work.
Hi Racing, thanks for your comment! As far as the quality goes, the limitation is not the microphone (nor the lavalier) but the bluetooth connection itself. As you may also find out in my detailed DJI MIC 2-Review ( ruclips.net/video/13ijYwvdn7A/видео.htmls ), there is no chance getting even close to the internal recordig quality of the mic when using the bluetooth connectionn. DJI is offering bluetooth compatibility to several specific Motorcycle headsets, but the quality won't be better due to the fact that the blutooth-mic-recording-codec is limited to 8 bit mono. If you really need high resolution audio - use the 32 bit internal recording of dji mic 2 together with a high quality lavalier - AND SYNCHRONIZE THE VIDEO AND AUDIO IN POST PRODUCTION. Nothing else is going to give you better results!
@@S-LAB-TV Thank you very much now I will look at lavaliers that are worth it
@@SuT4G4Racing most welcome!
Did you edit this in Insta360 studio or in another program? If you used a different program, how was your workflow to get the footage into this program?
You are one of many commenters both on my German and English spoken channel as well, to ask this question. In short I exported from insta360 studio 2 Vegas Pro. Just xheck my answers underneath the 8k-Version of this video! I hope to be able to produce a tutorial explaining this procedure in detail soon!!

Thanks for your feedback I appreciate that very much. I can tell you it is a really time consuming hobby, but in the end might be useful for some folks! By the way, a detailed review of the microphones of insta 360 X4, Ace Pro vs DJI Mic 2 coming soon. Best wishes!
I bought them both because of there different options and I bought the lark1 set by hollyland ,, I primarily conduct interviews and these mics have been great the connections are very strong and sound quality is excellent they have never let me down.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I never got to test the lark one ... But I am curious did you never have the DJI mic 2 in mind? ruclips.net/video/13ijYwvdn7A/видео.htmlsi=Nnl_DIhpvkrBl4kU by the way thanks so much for subscribing!
After doing my research and watching a ton of channels such as your own I decided to go with a lower cost brand because they’re just as reliable and sound good, I was able to purchase 2 separate sets for the price of one set of the DJI brand. I was able to get a set and a backup.. so no I actually never considered them or Rode as an option.. people must understand yeah those brands have good quality but there are less popular brands that are just as good and if you never give them a chance it only allows the name brand to price gouge do to lack of competition

Can I connect Saramonic Bluetooth mic directly with Insta360 ACE PRO camera without a receiver ?
This is an interesting question but unfortunately I can not help you answer it because I don't own this Saramonic Bluetooth Mic. What I can definitely tell you is that insta360 is working hard on making more and more devices compatible, also motorcycle helmet Bluetooth mics for example. Maybe check the current hardware compactibility list?
Which one you like more? Or should I just buy the lark 😮
Hehe, thanks for the interesting question, I wanted hand over the answer to you... Let me put it like this: - if you like the dry and warmish sound of the Lark Mark II then go for it! it is an easy to use, compact piece of hardware but please note: as I tried to explain the units are very small so you need sophisticated hands while using it, its dry and warm sound to my ears appears to be the most "artificial" & of course no internal recording ... - if you prefer a more detailed picture of your voice, including the surroundings with precise heights, mids and lows and if you don't mind a certain amount of hissing noise, which at the same time requires, but also offers you more possibilities for treatment during post-production, then go for the cm22. Don't forget about "the one and only" Eco effect of the cm22 ... By the way this is the most accessible construction with decent buttons and also: lavalier mics included. No internal recording again! - the CM 28 offers out of this 3 the great additional advantage of internal recording whilst streaming your audio events to a camera or audio recorder. So if you need a security back up: there you go. At shorter distances I didn't encounter any problems with any of these with the transmission but you never know. In case you are working with camera operators they could anyway always monitor the sound ... In the end I want to make clear: with none of these microphones (and also none of any other microphone I ever tested) it is really just record and done. In all of the cases some post-production fine tuning is needed. In this video I didn't use additional equalizers, compressors and so on, to give you the most objective feedback, but still: loudness adjustments (normalizing) was necessary was necessary in order to compare the three units.
@@SpoonfulLogistics interesting I do like the benefits of the internal recording, but I do prefer the convenience and light weight lark 2 If u could only pick one for everyday what do you enjoy using the most? Thanks so much, And love from Canada !
I think you have given the answer already to yourself, you like the form factor of the Lark Mark II and as long as you are fine with the somehow artificial profile .... Sending best wishes and love back to CA ...
@@S-LAB-TVthank you 😮I saw the cm28 is on sale in my area half the price of the lark 😅so I am reconsidering my decision 😂❤😮
@@LouisLuzukaHey Louis! Good Luck with everything ✊❗🪄
Disappointing how bad the footage is from this "game changing, world class 8K, super clear camera". Mimmicks exactly what footage I have shared. ProRes422HQ, Max render quality etc.. everything out of camera already looked bad, knew it was going to be bad once put on youtube. Thanks for sharing and that's a beautiful area.
Hi tapped out, did you really crank up the resolution to 8K on RUclips? Because looking at the full 8K resolution I'm actually quite positive regarding the results. Because, of course we should be aware, that this 8K resolution is distributed over a 360 degree space! Resulting in the fact, that possibly when you look at a cut out out of this 360 degree space you might be confronted only with something like an HD-resolution. But this, in return, is not a downside of the camera but the nature of the technical configuration of a 360 degree video itself ... The Ace pro for example with its full 8K resolution available at 24P delivers quite stunning results: Xqew8V1nxQI Or in Case you might complain about the blown out highlights, then you might compare this video to 5.7 K HDR here: rfLykA4TTCc HDR-mode performs way better with the highlights but of course at cost of the missing resolution. I would definitely like to understand better what was your complain and by the way - thanks for your honest comment regarding the footage!
OK, I have subscribed, now (please) do me a favor ... ... compare the X4 sharpness settings (please). Contrary to general camera history and contrary to Insta360 X4 info, I am getting better results with sharpness set to high. So I am trying to find out if anyone else is too, or if I am screwing up with the low and/or medium, settings. Thanks.
Thanks so much for your comment. I will of course do a detailed comparison between both the X3 and X4 in the style of this video: jw3B9Yqahzs (you will find it once you look for this code in the search function of RUclips) On the other hand there is a video which has a specific chapter comparing the different sharpness modes of the Ace Pro: WV0OBv5qqOc maybe that helps already as an orientation. For large screens I prefer definitely the medium sharpness. Any additional sharpeness level is anyway already some kind of extra compression - away from what the sensor originally delivers. So in essence the less sharpness you apply, the more options you are going to have in post production I will do my best to come with the results you're looking for - fast
hah! I should have watch this one first. You explained what was happening. The other was foreign to me. Sorry.
All is good! 🙏
I too own an Insta360 X4. I found when I uploaded a video to RUclips that the playback quality was not that great. I then discovered that by going into advanced settings I was able to force the playback quality to 2160s rather than the default 720s. But each time I replayed the video, I would have to go back into the advanced settings and force it again to play at the highest quality. The other thing I noticed with default video playback is the video appears blurry for about 30 - 40 seconds then it finally comes crystal clear and this is without having to go into advanced settings and trying to force it.
Hey sky, thanks for your comment! My experience with RUclips shows, that once i'm working on a desktop-computer you can set the resolution to max: permanently. Using RUclips in the app on a phone might limit the resolution again and again automatically (in order for RUclips to save data). So, the perfect choice for RUclips is still the desktop! But this video above, I uploaded it in 8k, so it should show up in higher resolution than only 2160p ... Still waiting for this to happen!
No issues here. Have 130/25 internet speed. No more getting sorry video quality to start.

Hi, maybe just have a look at my answer regarding the comment from @ravitalele1149 and there was one more answer pointing into this direction if I remember correctly. So basically it's all already in the comments, the footage I used to put into Vegas, has been exported via insta360 Studio 2024 before as: 360° video! Hope that helps. Or do you think it is necessary to create such a video as an explanation one day? Best wishes!
… und wie kann ich VR Video in 4K in YT veröffentlichen?
Awsome video, could you show me how how to add the music into the video? Thanks!
Hi Andy, thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the video. Since I am not aware with which software you are working I don't think I could give you an appropriate answer. In case you're using Insta360 studio app 2024, they now have a video editor integrated. Or if you're using any other video editor, the principle is universal and almost always the same: Just add an additional audio track in which to add your music. So in essence, whichever video editing software you are using: you might just go find any tutorial on youtube to explain you how to add track into your project. Did that make sense to you? Else, please formulate your question more precise. Best wishes!
Awesome! Can you share how you added teh text to this video?
Hi! Of course, I imported the footage into a video-editor (Vegas Pro) and then added an additional Track (layer) on top of the original footage, where I added in png-files with transparency, containing the text. Each png with text contained 3 fields of text with the same information, so that the viewer would be able to see the text at 3 different spots at the same time. all that, before i rendered out the video and injected the 3D-information again, in order to make it a proper 360° video again
@@S-LAB-TV thank you!!! OK, I understand: how can I achieve 4K quality in INSTA360 Studio? and where can I find the 360 degrees that I need to inject.
@@smartfilmstudio1 it is better if you achieve MAXIMUM resolution. for example if you recorded 5.7K you will loose a lot when exporting only in 4K the Injector you find here: github.com/google/spatial-media/releases but possibly it is not required for you, depending on with which video editor you are going to work on in post ...
@@S-LAB-TV Hello, thank you for your detailed answer... it sounds a bit complicated to me. I used to do 360 degree VR with 6 GoPros in a RIG. It was easier to get the VR video... what was more difficult was getting the stitching right. the maximum resolution is of course more interesting for me
@@smartfilmstudio1 What sounds difficult?
Thanks for the video. However, this doesn’t actually seem to work. My acrylic pro and mic 2 connect. But, the video has no audio. I followed the same instructions and nothing. Is there something in the camera that needs adjusting
Of course it is definitely possible, but you need to install the update which I mentioned here: 0:14. If instead your Ace Pro is running on an older firmware you will experience exactly this phenomena: they connect - but nothing is to be heard! Please make also sure to have the newest firmware installed on your MIC 2, but this is not as crucial as the latest FW-update for the ace pro ... Good luck 🤞
Thanks for this. It seems from your test there is no delay in the audio when connecting X4 and Mic 2 by bluetooth as there was with the X3 and Mic 2. Can you confirm?
Exactly, I agree, almost no delay, for sure not as stark as between X3 and MIC 2! But please note the sondquality will never be as good as compared to the internal recording of MIC 2. Already when using the original DJI remote system (2.4 Ghz) one can make up a quality loss compared to internal recording quality, if you are interested in acoustic examples check here: ruclips.net/video/13ijYwvdn7A/видео.htmlsi=IqzUuRxhhhPbxR4G&t=1115
Looking good on my meta quest 3 VR headset!
Thanks for your feedback, unfotunately i don't own such a device, so I'm just looking around with I Smartphone in the hands instead 🤣 (of course this doesn't feel very high tech) anyhow, a friend of mine owns the Quest 2 so hopefully one day I'll check it out there!
@@S-LAB-TV I've been looking at some other 360 videos on the headset and was wondering how well the new X4 would work. From your video, it seems to work quite well....at least as good as many older videos which were probably shot on cameras that were more expensive. I'm looking forward to making some of my own.
@@lenimbery7038 Excellent! Enjoy, keep me updated!! 👍
Hi. I’ve just recently discovered and subscribed to your channel as I just got a 360 X4 and was looking for content in the 360 VR format. Yes, it seems that RUclips has a strange search algorithm which strongly favours high subscription and high viewership
It might be so because it's all about the money and the mainstream ... Thank you so much for subscribing I really appreciate that!
