    Hi! Thank you for the video it cleared up a lot of questions, but I still have one I’m currently in the process of joining the army and am going to go active duty, I have my bachelors degree but was wondering, what is the contract length I have to do to get the full amount of the SLRP?

    • @ArmyReserveInformation
      @ArmyReserveInformation 5 дней назад

      Great question. On the active side, I don't quite know because I haven't been a recruiter in a long time. On the Reserve side, it's typically 6 years. Again, your recruiter is going to have the most up to date information. Welcome to the team!

      Every student loan is different, but most of them send money directly to the school. So if it's on campus, I would likely say yes.

    • @ArmyReserveInformation

      Great question. Unless there is a program I don't know about, you would need a 368 conditional release or wait until your ETS and then go right into the Army Reserve. If you do that, ask about the EAB - Enlisted Affiliation Bonus :)

I have not been back overseas since. I am about to retire as a major from the NG. I am so glad I went when I did. The higher in rank you get the harder it is to volunteer for a deployment.

Anything but leaving people alone unless they WANT to be bothered. All you have to do is ask. Communicate with people. If they say no. Fuckem. Move on. Lol. In all honesty im quite sure ive lost my mind. But thats ok. Im somewhat functioning. Good talk. 👍

      On the Reserve side, it could be between 30 and 90 days unless there is a records issue, which we have seen. Unfortunately, there have been some delays. If you don't receive it after 60 days, you can request a bonus inquiry. See your Career Counselor for more detailed information.
