I didn't know about the existence of the 320is in the e21 version. In Italy we have the 320is in the e30 version, and it is powered by the M3 engine but with a displacement reduced to 2 litres. Thanks for the information and the video!

While u were touring the rear seat I got a good glimpse of your rear speakers on the package shelf and if the front speakers are anything like the condition of the rear speakers that would be the number one reason why there is no volume from the radio man those old factory speakers were crappy when they were brand new I'm sure they completely disintegrated well over a decade ago just install a set of new speakers all around and u got a radio again buddy and those look super easy to replace that's one of the best things about those old Volvos everything is simple and straightforward to access and fix from the turbo redblock down to the stock radio speakers just get a decent set of entry level pioneer or Sony or Kenwood speakers of the proper size which can be found online and be sure they are of the proper impedance (most likely a basic 4ohm will be fine) and if u plan to keep that very low powered factory in dash radio unit be sure to get speakers with lower power handling and the highest sensitivity rating u can find no lower than 90db preferably even higher cuz higher sensitivity speakers will perform much better with less power and that old factory head unit from the late 80s is as low on power as it gets. But if u want to upgrade to a whole new system talk to your local car audio specialist to discuss options. But honestly even though it's nothing but a crappy old bone stock basic radio there's something cool about keeping it old skool. Either way just replace those disintegrated stock paper speakers and ur radio should work again nonetheless cool old turbo redblock 740 back in high school my buddy had a near mint condition 1981 240 and all us punks and metal heads piled in to party and he rearranged the rear emblem around from 240 to 420 and we would always joke that he was the only guy to have a rare Volvo 420...... I'm sure that is what told the cops how we partied lmao

Hey! looks like you fixed it but my 924 turbo all of a sudden didn't crank and I found out that the alternator had been disconnected from the battery... I was driving before and it started to run very rough so I brought it back to the garage, and then inspecting it, found that the alternator wasn't connected, leading my battery to die. Hope this helps anyone else who runs into this issue!

I have a 2005 Matrix XRS with the same 2ZZ-GE motor and 6 speed manual transmission as this GT. The XRS and GT have really skyrocketed in value in 2024 and are extremely hard to find.

Im just concerned what effect the lift has on the suspension and CV joints?

Did you do the engine swap yourself or go to a shop? It is one of the cleanest engine bays I’ve seen…particularly on these XJs
