Hello all,
My name is Eddie Borrego. The videos you see on my channel are of my family's adventures in Utah and the surrounding area. My wife, Cassie, started referring to them as "Edventures" when we were dating and I thought the name was fitting.
If one of my videos help you prepare or inspires you to go out on an adventure of your own, please let me know in the comments! Post those questions if you got em too… I am always happy to help!
Please keep in mind that we aren’t professionals… LOL. Making these videos is nothing more than a hobby and all of our content is edited on my phone when I have down time.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!

The Cave

Today I went on a solo adventure to see if my eyes had deceived me… last week we went some friends to moonshine arch and looking across the many ridges I could barely make what looked like a large cave in the sandstone. Using my OnX app I was able to find and plot a route to explore the area. I took my Jeep as far as I could before setting out on foot. I have no idea what the name is or much ab...
The Pickle and Jalapeño Obstacles
Просмотров 3593 месяца назад
In this video my friend, Chad Boren (Anarchy Off-Road Utah) guides me through the two hard obstacles of the Pickle Trail. Cass and I had attempted this trail once a few years ago and with the combination of not knowing the line and my short wheel base we were denied. We had success on the first one, but as you’ll see, the Jalapeño is not joke! There will definitely be a redemption run on this n...

Every year the Mrs and I go to Moab in the first week of March. It’s the last few weeks of the off-season so the trails aren’t overcrowded and you never have a wait a the restaurants. This year we had some of our Basin family join in the fun. Cory and Cason were there the first three days and Chad, Marcie, Matt and Owen joined us for the following three. The Joint Trail 2.0, Needles District, Canyonlands Ntl. Park

The Joint trail is located in the Needles District of Canyonlands Ntl. Park near Monticello, Utah. It can be accessed from the Chessler Park trailhead as well as the Elephant Hill Jeep Trail. Our approach was from Elephant Hill and required a permit that we had to purchase the day before. The hike is 3 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 355 ft. Metal Masher is fun trial located just off of the Gemini Bridges road east of the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands Ntl. Park. The beauty of this trail is you can make it as easy or as difficult as you want by the several optional side obstacles, not to mention the view from Arth’s Rim at the top. For this trial you’ll want to have a high clearance vehicle equipped with a rear locker. D...

Vernal Utah: Sand Bar Trail & Moonshine Arch
Hey bro! Awesome video! Down here in vernal now. Can't find bronco buster on onx. Can you send me a pin or a turn off to it please?
Sure can, message me on facebook
Great camping spot. Loved that sunset too!
Great stuff Eddie! Beautiful route leading to an awesome yurt! Plus there was some mud which is good for Jeeps I hear.
It definitely is! Thanks man! I’m glad you liked the video! Despite the weather I loved it! Can’t wait to go back to that area and do some camping!
Absolutely gorgeous ambience my friend! Music is stunning!
Nice find! That place is cool!
looks like a great time!
Had a blast, man!!!
Hell Yeah!!!
wow
What's up Eddie!! Or is that Cass in there 😅
That one is Cass… she never lets me drive her rig lol
Looks like a great day out
Love the vid. Heading to VRR in June. Can’t wait to see what Vernal has to offer as we have mostly stayed there to fly fish the Green.
Thank you! I’m glad you like it! Vernal definitely has something for everyone who enjoys the outdoors! What trails you running during VRR?
@@edventures_4938 Moonshine Arch, Anderson Creek and Coyote Gulch.
Love the video. What software do you edit with.
Thank you! I’m glad you like it! That run is one of my favorites in northern Utah! I use CapCut to edit my photos and videos. Lots of tutorials on RUclips for the app.
@@edventures_4938 thanks for the info. i just moved to layton, going to run this today or tomorrow.
@@OneJeepCrew enjoy, man! It’s a great ride! Great place to camp too… the sunrises up there are just as impressive as the sunsets!
I work near Willard Bay. I should take my Bronco up there now. Seems to be a relatively easy trail.
It is definitely worth the trip! Just takes a bit of time to do it in one day. I recommend staying the night. The sunrise is incredible from up there too!
Did you need to air down your tires at any point of the trip?
No you don’t have to, but we prefer to always air down when off pavement. Makes for a softer ride and it’s not has hard on your suspension.
Look mom I’m on the you tube
👌🇺🇸
Awesome video.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it! Hopefully it gave you an idea on what to expect on the trail!
Very Cool.
Great Video & Fun Music
Hi, we are very capable in sidexsides, could they concur these trails or have alternate trails if not? Thx
There are bypasses for all of the hard obstacles… when you do you plan on coming out? There is a local group on Facebook called Vernal Rally Point where you can reach out to the local drivers… more than likely someone will be happy to go out and show you guys around the Docs Beach area.
Who do I have to talk to about following you guys next time you come out? I'm building a new offroader and want to test it out just dont want to attempt it alone
Sorry for the late response! Look up Vernal Rally Point on Facebook… let us know when you are planning on coming to town and if we don’t already have a run going for you to join, we can get a group together to show you the trail!
@@edventures_4938 I actually live here in vernal!
@@edventures_4938 I drive the red sas explorer around vernal
Even better! Cory Richardson, Dustin Richens & Steve Harris are local and easily motivated… if you don’t know them, just reach out on the Vernal Rally Point page. My wife and I are moving there next week… can’t wait to get there!
@@edventures_4938 if im not working this weekend and anyone is going out id love to tag along! My wife wants to go out to the arch
How long did the drive take?
we usually stay up top for a while when we get there so it’s hard to say exactly, but I’d guess 4/5 hours round trip
@@edventures_4938 sorry i was referring to just the ride up
@@NuttyTherapist from Mantua, I’d say two hours to the top.
Dang! That was crazy. Nice driving!
Noiice. I wasn't sure about the drive, but now I'm wishing I joined ya. Hah.
Udah = 🤒🤮💩😷
AWESOME
Awesome crawling, but who filmed it with the camera the wrong direction? It made for a small viewing window. Either way, great job.
Thank you! My buddy was out with them that day and asked me to put something together for the buggy trails… I tried to reformat it to different matrix sizes but it pixelated the images. Looked better as is. My hope is I get a chance to see them run it during the rock rally and get my cameras on it along with the drone…
Nice video, thanks for giving me a idea of what I have to look forward to in a few weeks. I'll be running East to West on Saturday.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it! The guys that run the Vernal Rock Rally do an amazing job with that event! The first time I did this trail I went that direction... you'll love it!
My mom is fuckin killing it🤣
Yes she is! We were all impressed with her driving skills!
Great video Ed!! I have a Nissan frontier pro4x stock...can this trail be done on that truck? Also, Do you guys have a group that I can join? I'm in EM, UT.
Your rig is definitely capable of this trail as well as several others in the Vernal Area. Our FaceBook group is Vernal Rally Point (VRP) and we'd love for you to join! We welcome all off-road enthusiasts so please come join us for a ride sometime!
@@edventures_4938 Thanks Eddy!!
I joined the group. I also need some advice like do you know any good fab shops to add rock sliders and lift my truck like any recommendations? In an around Eagle Mountain or SLC?
@@vishwasbodani7069 NorthRidge 4x4 and 4Wheel Parts in SLC is good. There is a shop called DrJeep in Salem that does offroad work too... Mostly Jeeps, but it wouldn't hurt to call and see if they can help with a mod.
@@edventures_4938 Thanks!!
Cool video. less music next time pls
Thank you and Definitely! I try to include the sounds when I can, but the built-in mics pick up more wind noise than anything... looking into better ones to capture what is actually going on in the future. Thank you for the feedback! Greatly appreciated!
@@edventures_4938 oh cool. yeah hearing the vehicles is fun and helpful to me. Cool XJ. I have a 95. You'll have to do a walk around of it sometime.
I hadn't seen this yet, it's awesome!
Thank you! We need to get you , Beau and Rayna up here on the Trails some time!
Two of my favorite spots to hike in Ogden. Good year around. Enjoyed the drone footage at the overlook. I have a killer pic of my daughter in that spot.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! Have you ever done the loop form 27th to Hidden Valley and then back via Taylor canyon? We want to try that one next... was wondering the mileage or how much time I should allot for it.
@@edventures_4938 I have done the loop starting from 22nd St. Trailhead. Just over 6 miles, 2000ft in elevation. In fact I did a video of it just before Christmas. It was an awesome trip. ruclips.net/video/4uDlDp0m2t8/видео.html
I know the area well, my videos are like yours ,, music and pure nature of northern utah. Well done my friend.
Thank you! I’m glad you like them! I’ll definitely check out your channel!
what kind of drone are you flying?
Mavic Air 2s

So awesome!!
Great video! I really enjoyed it.
Thanks man! Glad you like it! Have you been out that way yet?
@@edventures_4938 I have not, but it is a place that I want to visit. Your video makes me want to visit it even more.
@@joshashdown4431 I bet you'd get some killer shots!
@@edventures_4938 Or nearly kill myself trying to get shots lol. That has been my latest pattern anyway.
ToT is fun in the snow is a lot of fun.. we did it in full send mode no lockers 35s in Crushicon it got really interesting but was some of the most fun we ever had wheeling
Definitely have to keep your momentum! If you stop or slow down mid-obstacle you have to back down and line up again. Though we didn't make it to the top, we had a great time cruising through the snow!
@@edventures_4938 well now we have reason to back and get to the top so you can see it in the snow it's really pretty 🤩
Your getting pretty good with that drone!! Awesome footage!!
Thanks TJ! I'm glad you like it! I'm definitely still a rookie, but I'm having a lot of fun learning to fly!
