Today, I'd like to introduce a popular chain restaurant in Japan. Regarding the pronunciation of “寿司” (sushi): In spoken language, when the word “寿司” is combined with another word, the reading often changes to “zushi.” This change makes the pronunciation easier. In this video, the furigana is shown as “zushi” to match the spoken form. The word “舌鼓” (a term meaning to smack one’s lips in enjoyme...

🤣🤣I agree! Subarashiさん!Fukuwarai would be really fun in Squid Game! 😆 Actually, the "Red Light, Green Light" game with the Young-hee doll in Squid Game exists in Japan too! In Japanese, we call it "だるまさんがころんだ Daruma-san ga koronda"! 🎎
@ wow! Hope it happens someday!
What an amazing video… I also slept very well. I liked the waves and the narrators voice is beautiful. Now I just need to watch this while I’m awake so I can write it all down. This is also exactly what I needed to understand the different verb forms. Arigatou gozaimashita!
McTrusts No Oneさん!こんにちは! Thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm really happy to hear that you liked my voice! And I’m glad you slept well. Did you like the sound of the waves? Someone else mentioned that they found it a bit noisy, so I was thinking of making the next video without the wave sounds... but maybe it depends on the person? 😅 Verb conjugations can be quite tricky, right? I'm really glad I could help!🥰

Thanks, but the sounds in the background were very irritating. Light music, like at the beginning, or no background sound at all would have been better. I'm not sure what the sound in the background was supposed to be... waves? cars driving past? tarpaulin being dragged across the ground? It spoilt what would have otherwise been a good video.
猫会飞さん、おはようございます Thank you for watching the video, and I really appreciate your helpful advice. For the background sound, I used the sound of waves in some parts. Perhaps the choice of wave sounds wasn’t the best? I’ll be sure to use something different for the background sound next time I create a video!🥰🙏

This video is incredibly thoughtful and practical, offering essential Japanese phrases tailored for Muslim travelers. It’s a great resource for fostering inclusivity and making their experience in Japan more comfortable!

This video is a lifesaver for anyone navigating Japan with dietary restrictions! The clear examples and cultural insights make it so much easier to communicate your needs while respecting local customs. Perfect for vegans, vegetarians, and anyone looking to enjoy Japanese cuisine stress-free!
おはよう!Thank you so much for your comment, Anthonyさん!! Actually, I created this content after seeing some comments from vegans visiting Japan go viral on X. I don’t think you’re vegan, but I hope this can still be helpful when communicating any preferences or dislikes. 😊 As always, I appreciate your support!

Im my opinion, Japan have to abolish katakana, Katakana, is not japanese, is not english . Katakana is not necessary in japanese language. 90% of katakana , have equivalent in japanese
eijiさん!こんにちは!I totally understand how you feel! Katakana can be a bit of a mystery-it’s like this strange mix of Japanese and English, isn’t it? Even I get confused by it sometimes. But don’t worry! If you’re not a fan of katakana, you don’t have to force yourself to use it. As long as you can communicate, that’s what matters most! 😊
Thank you for this I forgot how much I loved studying Japanese .

えええ I didn't even know ポーヨ ベジタリアン or オリエンタルベジタリアン it's probably very rare ! Thank you あつこ先生. Speaking of だし i believe it's more often with fish but i heard about だし昆布 and だしシイタケ. Is it something you can commonly buy and would you say it tastes good ? I'm mostly afraid of 成分表示 even with google lens 🤣. I guess sticking with simple food like you mentioned with onigiri or raw vegetables is the best way not to go wrong (and maybe even lose some weight 😅)
Eodisさん!こんにちは! About ポーヨベジタリアン, it might be a bit uncommon, but オリエンタルベジタリアン is actually the most common type of vegetarian among tourists visiting Japan. It’s particularly popular among visitors from Taiwan! Taiwan has plenty of vegetarian-friendly restaurants, so I’m sure you’d enjoy exploring them if you ever visit. The standard way is to use both fish and kombu for だし. However, you can also make a delicious broth using just 昆布 and しいたけ! As you mentioned, ingredient labels are often packed with kanji, so they can be a bit めんどうくさい to read. By the way, since you’ve mentioned ice cream before, does that mean you’re okay with eating eggs and dairy? If so, that could open up a lot more food options for you here in Japan! 😊
あつこ先生、ありがとうごさいます ☺ Taiwan seems like a beautiful country with nice food indeed. I don't know as much as i do for Japan about it but i heard they have great cities in the west side and beautiful nature in the east ! I hope this area of the world will stay peaceful, China on the side of Taiwan and North Korean more on the Japan side (not to mention Russia) are always worrying me 😣. This corner of the world will be amazing the day everyone gets along together. I still eat eggs and dairy indeed i wanted to stop it as well but it's very hard, it's everywhere 😅. I'll be able to get オムライス and maybe an シイタケアイスクリーム 🤤
@@eodis1644 Eodisさん!What is しいたけアイスクリーム? I didn’t know such a thing existed! I couldn’t resist looking it up, and it seems that dried shiitake is powdered and sprinkled on the ice cream-it actually sounds delicious. I’ll muster up the courage to try it next time!🤣 Recently, I tried grilled eggplant ice cream with a friend, and it was surprisingly tasty! I also love wasabi ice cream. Eodisさん, you might enjoy an ice cream adventure in Japan-it’s like Kit Kats here, with so many unique flavors to try! As for the world situation, there are indeed many countries trying to expand their territories. I often wonder why they try to assert their influence through force. Instead, I think they should focus on making their own country so wonderful that others would want to be a part of it voluntarily. Here’s hoping for a world where everyone can live happily and peacefully. 😊
@@NihongAudioLounge I didn't know しいたけアイスクリーム existed i was joking by imagining a funny flavor. I knew Japan has many flavor so i'm only half surprised, good luck trying it if you really do it. I will pass on wasabi ice cream but i'm willing to try grilled eggplant 🤣 And yes this is a good way of seeing things ! Countries should fight trying to make the best ice cream. Wars are not as common and ferocious as it was in the past but it's still too much... I'm pessimistic about the future but still hope for the best we are all humans after all we should help each other and not let the place where we are born dictate our fate and way of thinking too much.
Good ❤
