I am not huge on the movie, because it is basically just "Fan Service: The Movie" and so many scenes will fall flat if you aren't a huge Marvel (overall) fan. Gambit, for example - In order for this moment to fully work you have to be a fan of Gambit as a character and know that Tatum was very interested in playing the character in a solo movie like 10 years ago. There are so many scenes and moments that rely on outside information.

In Deadpool 2, moments after watching Vanessa die, Wade literally threw himself under a truck to avoid the realization he lost the love of his life and the reason he underwent the mutation in the first place. In Deadpool 3, he did the same thing. He punched Wolverine and started yet another pointless fight, just so he don't have to admit every single word Wolverine said was true. Under all that silly humor, innuendos and one-liners, there's vulnerable, insecure soft soul, that knows only one solution to its emotional distress - violence. One could even say it makes Deadpool sad, tragic character.
