You can become a fan whenever you start watching something and like it? So what if not everybody is the ultimate nerd and read all comics and watched all animation OG everything, you can still call yourself a fan if you hopped on the Marvel train a bit later.
So I have a theory. The Wolverine from Logan is not the Wolverine from all the other X-Men movies we watched. The reason I'm saying that is because when Cassandra went inside of wolverine's head we were able to see flashbacks of his past and all of those flashbacks were from the X-Men movies we watched. And in the movie The Wolverine he was given a yellow uniform. I think the Wolverine from the movie Logan was from a completely different timeline. Also we had the original saber tooth and we had Toad as well.
So many people reacting with so little knowledge of Marvel's characters. Seems that super hero movies started with Avengers for a lot of them. So they missing the fun ...
