      @IndustrialWhimsytv hi..thank you..I'm a beginner knitter..I personally prefer crocheting more..but I want to atleast learn knitting too...I will see how it goes for me..if I do a brim maybe I'll do it separately and hand sew it on..I don't know..I'll play it by ear..I just want to ask why do you use all those needles in the beginning? Is that too creative the circle on the top of the hat?thanks so much!

    • @IndustrialWhimsytv
      @IndustrialWhimsytv 15 дней назад

      @@ritabb9692 crocheting a brim could be easier to do than knitting if you are more comfortable with it. The double pointed needles are needed when knitting small circumferences in the round. There is also a technique called Magic Loop that some prefer instead and it uses a long circular needle.

    You need to make a video with a detailed lesson on making that kind of bobble because you are confusing about how you are explaining it and your fingers are in the way.

    • @IndustrialWhimsytv
      @IndustrialWhimsytv 4 месяца назад

      I see what you are saying without me providing the context of how a bobble is made normally. Usually to make a bobble you would Knit into the front, back, front and back of the same stitch creating 4 stitches. Turn work, purl the four stitches, turn work, knit the four stitches together or pass each stitch over the first. In knitting the four bobble stitches backward like I show in the video you eliminate the constant turning of your work and it moves a little faster. It’s just an interesting option for bobble making. 😊

    • @IndustrialWhimsytv
      @IndustrialWhimsytv 5 месяцев назад

      No secrets here! The trick for the oyster shells is that they are stuck under the sand and in the water around ankle to calf deep. You have to feel around for the edges sticking out and pull them up! It’s fun lol Also Kelly Hamby Trail (past San Luis Bridge) is great for all kinds of shells. Just bring mosquito spray for the walk to the beach because it’s crazy 😬 or do like us and run!! 🤣
