Thats first Irene LaBeau, first Katie Barton & first Carol Rhodes...a triple key. But CGC didn't label it as a key because it's a variant cover. If you check venom #3 Tyler kirkham variant, youll see they don't list the key significance there either. That's what I think it is, it's pretty dumb but aye. That's CGC for ya lol they'll still label 2nd & 3rd prints as keys but not variants 😅

I've really enjoyed the acolyte and can't wait to the finale when I get home tonight. I thought the plot was better than people give it credit for. It shows that power corrupts, even with Jedi. It humanizes them and shows a time when the light side was in power and how things are never perfect. Good intentions paving the way to Hell n all that. Anyway, glad to hear you enjoyed it too!

I am not a slab hater.....I own 1 slab that I won from Rob (Spider-man #1). I have no plans to break it out as I already have a raw copy. I think everyone needs to collect how and what they want. Although I think the grading companies are a bunch of crooks I also think there is a place for graded/slab books. Especially when your looking to buy key or a more expensive book.

This was a GREAT video, my friend! Well done! I don't hate slabs but they are something I would never buy or collect but certainly don't think any less of someone who does. I'm not sure if i can come up with an actual reason. It just doesn't seem like something that is worthwhile to me. I can understand someone slabbing something of value to preserve it but to me that is investing and not collecting. I've always thought of it as taking a comic book that is meant to be read and enjoyed and turning it into a giant trading card and yet if Topps or someone else created Jumbo trading cards they would flop horribly and not very many people would want them. One of the reasons I am giving away the slabbed comics I win is that it takes the decision to open them or not out of my hands. My initial thought on the first one that I got (that TJ won) was to open it on screen and make a video out of what it took to set the comic free. Could have been entertaining but once I held it in my hands it did look really nice and I decided to give it away instead. As I've said many times, one of the greatest things about this hobby is that there is no wrong way to do it. You can collect any way or as little or as much as you want and all that matters is if you are having fun or not.

Hi Razor! While I wouldn't call myself a slab HATER, I don't collect slabbed books simply because I'm an old fart and just love to be able to pull out a "raw" copy from my collection and read that original book, complete with that nostalgic newsprint paper smell, anytime I'd like to. It's pretty much just that simple for me. The other main reason I do not slap books it's because I couldn't bear to part with them by sending them someplace else where I don't have control over them. Basically I'd be suffering from separation anxiety from my comics 🤣 I own exactly one slabbed book just so I could use it for reference in slab discussions. Very interesting and entertaining video, Razor, I really enjoyed it!

Glad you asked lol lotta of reasons. I hate slabs because what it is supposed to do is consistently provide a non biased judgement of a book and offer buyers a peace of mind that they don't provide. The side of any collector base that obsesses over slabbed anything are generally the ones who are monetarily driven and that always annoys me. CGC's Matt Nelson has come on RUclips, lied to our faces for damage control, & then settled out of court because they don't want that employees knowledge of inside wrongdoings exposed. Also, I don't need a third party grader. I feel fully capable of figuring out what condition I'm looking for myself, and if I sold, I'd expect the people to be able to look at it and tell themselves. I find it's a huge money making scheme for the sake of a market that's abused by the relationships like with CGC & Golden. The core idea of grading isn't a bad thing, but the main company that means anything to the "community" is ass & after thinking about it, I really don't need or want them. I can get better protection self slabbing and they look better that way too, I hate the clunky graded cases. I don't give a care what anyone else does but people should think about the long term effects of how these businesses affect the hobby as a whole before supporting em & the secondary markets for em...but if they don't care they don't care. That all said, if people really like third party grading, they should buy em. If people like money, they should buy em. But since you asked why I hate it as a hater, that's my take.

My knowledge isn't issue specific enough to be very good at this game. I only got 3 obvious ones right. I believe Garfield's first appearance was a month earlier in Legion of Super-Heroes 300 in a very tiny cameo but he may have appeared elsewhere.

McFarlane left Spawn was already in the making. He wasnt fired and was offered a lot of money to stay and eve more money later to come back.
