Happy Soriku Week 2021!
This was not the edit I was planning on posting, but here we are. This one has been growing cobwebs in my hard drive since before Re:Mind & MoM released & I genuinely didn’t know if it would ever see the light of day bc I have many issues with it still, but I'm glad it is out, for my own sanity. It’s the same chronological type of edit that Sunlight was, created using most of those clips that didn’t make the final cut lol, and i couldn’t bear to edit the song shorter so pls forgive the parts that drag 🥲
It became more of a Riku character study than a full-blown soriku edit (but anyone who knows Riku’s story well will know it’s intrinsically tied to Sora anyway, so) ...

Really powerful. I love your style of incorporating lyrics into the amv. I hope I don't offend you by asking, but do you take requests? I think King & Lionheart would be great to combine with KH (Sora being the king and Riku being the Lionheart). Anyway, please consider making more videos.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch & message, it’s so flattering that you liked this enough to request more vids from me honestly!💜 So far I’ve not taken requests, no, though I’m open to doing so in the future! Sadly it takes me a looong time to really sit down & make these bc I edit using a busted & very slow laptop, so I have to be really motivated to even attempt that lol 😅 It’s usually when I start envisioning something after being inspired by a song that propels me through the frustrating process of editing. But I so appreciate your request & I have actually thought of Sora & Riku in regard to that song! I can’t promise that I’ll use that song, but I have some unfinished videos that I will try to complete so I can confidently upload them. 🙇🏻♀️

oh man i'm kind of obsessed with this, i keep noticing something new on each rewatch; stuff like the pulsing light at 0:38 making it look like riku can sense the world's heart beating through the door, the clip of him waving at 1:22 before he and sora close the door, all the split screen moments being perfectly chosen especially the roxas vs riku one at 2:02, the repliku flashbacks at 3:06 being in black and white, the way the very last shot IS directly from sora's first person perspective... i don't think even a single second of this drags, every single shot has storytelling value. also i LOVE your font choices. i literally feel dizzy from how emotional i am over this video.

I think it's time I finally comment on this video because I've watched this so many times! I love how you portrayed RIku's story from beginning to end, while also adding SoRiku (which, by the way, I absolutely ADORE!) The music choice is phenomenal and I am OBSESSED with some of the transitions (3:37 / 3:45 / 3:57 for example, those were SO good; they blend together very well) Riku's also just one of my favorite characters of the franchise and seeing his story portrayed like this is so- AHHH!! This is one of my favorite videos on the internet and I always click on it when I see it in my recommended or I see it on the side of the video I'm watching. I love this and I love you I also love your 'Sunlight' video and I truly believe you could make more videos and they'd be AMAZING All in all, this is a GREAT video!

I honestly do try to create things that last in people’s minds so to know you like the transitions & that the message of Riku’s story was relayed properly makes all the time spent working on it worth it, truly. Riku’s one of my favs too and it means so much to me that another big fan of him connected to this. It’s always so refreshing to see Kingdom Hearts being edited. This is so gorgeous!!! I love how well you just showed who Riku is in this. A perfect character study! omg i didnt realize you had another edit!! once again perfect song choice and story telling the ending really made me realize How huge the moment at the end of kh3 is. Riku has spent all this time escaping and acceoting darknes, but is ready to face it like that for sora. wow...
Yeah the sacrifice at the graveyard rly brings Riku’s entire arc full circle, I think the placement of where they stand and the reminder that darkness = water/sea with the demon tide hits hard here, or at least it felt like a gut-punch when i first played this part in kh3 :P again, thank you so so much for watching & sharing your thoughts 💜💜💜 i hope to make many more edits both kh & otherwise in the future💜

I love this! So beautiful! The parallels of darkness(riku) and (sora)light and how it fits each word of the song. It's really amazing. Basically this video is how to explain soriku down to it's core.
