Just about every time I go to a Candles in SW Wisconsin I see Amish and Mennonite buy top notch archery, gun, and rising equipment. They are also known not to respect neighbors fence lines and cross over and trespass to get the game they want. Their own properties are a lot of times overhunted. I will also add that their soul conservation practices are dust bowl era.

A friend of mine in Kentucky interact with the local Amish community frequently as they own a number of businesses, including Butcher shops. Ive had a lot of people ask my why i have several knives on me at all times, and i always tell them the same thing, that most each one has its own use, but i also like to have a backup in case i need to put one aside to have a shrp, or functional blade at hand. I try to keep all my knives extremely sharp, but if i dull one and cant sharpen it or dont have time to sharpen, then i can keep at the work at hand until i have the time and space to get mh edge back in shape.

I learned to kill, dress, and butcher my meats/animals at my grandparents heels. We saw and joined in as we grew up.
