Literally just say “bonjour” when you’re in Paris. Saying hello and acknowledging a person isn’t difficult. Weird to me that people refuse to follow courtesies and manners then think the French are the rude ones.
I'm traveling through Europe for 3 mos and I wish I had a smaller suircase. I am traveling with my dog too so maybe a carryon would be too small. But the larger suitcase is a pain.

i appreciate the video format of getting right to the point lol the only point i disagree with you on is about food!!! a big part of traveling and the experience to me is about indulging in all the local food and searching out fun restaurants to try out. no, there's nothing wrong with grabbing some fast food if you're in a rush/on a budget, but maaaaan you are missing out on some of the best aspects of traveling imo i too will die on the 'carry on only' hill! it is so much less stress and hassle than lugging around a big ol suitcase (which is a flashing neon sign to pickpockets tbh) if you're going to be traveling for awhile, you can always just stay in a place with a washing machine or pay for a laundry service to get by.
Glad you enjoyed it. I definitely agree with you on the point about eating out, however, I was looking more from the perspective of eating fast food as being sacrilegous when you're travelling. I had lots of really nice authentic meals at cafes, restaurants and stalls but never thought twice if I wanted fast food.
Interesting spreadsheet. I travel to europe every summer for 2-3 months but as an older guy haven't used a dorm room since Barcelona in 09 when I woke up with 5 extra pillows. Surprised but not shocked as I am currently travelling and will be in Barcelona tonight. As a comparison I use a mix of airbnb and booking to search for rooms. Last week I had a 3+ star hotel room in Munich for 53Eu say $85 and I have a week on Costa Brava for about $100 a night which less than a dorm room in BCN. These rooms are often twin rooms and often include breakfast which if you can manage it for two would be $50 pp per night. Just food for thought ..
Comparing those prices you mentioned to what I'm currently seeing is crazy. Are these hotels in the city centre? For my upcoming trips I'm definately leaning towards a mix of hotels and hostels as the prices are absurd in some cities.

Good Video, I think as well in Australia because we have a housing crisis and renting I think you would know that, it is becoming more expensive because of AIRBNB as well.
Glad you enjoyed the video! That's very true and it's indeed sad/frustrating for locals as they are often getting priced our of their own cities. I recall seeing 'tourists go home' grafittied around Barcelona which goes to show that overtourism and the rise of airbnb / expensive rentals is becoming a huge issue.

Looking to plan a similar trip but I’d like to slow travel so I’d opt for less countries and stay longer.
I did feel a bit rushed in some places and definately agree that opting to stay longer in each place would've allowed me to 'relax' and see more of each city. I'd say around 3 days for smaller cities and 5 days minimum for larger cities is a good ballpark.

No I used dorm rooms for all my hostels. The prices are in AUD which may be skewing your perceptions a bit.
