Hey I’m new to your RUclips channel I am a new fan of you you’re awesome at explaining things well thanks so much for your great explanation and I just subscribe to your RUclips channel and I like your video.
@@krystalgibbard5873 thanks so much!!!
Thank you for this review. I had an abundance of this yarn and thought I would make some lap size blankets. It used and Addi and Sentro and both struggled. I ended up taking them both apart to clean and grease because I thought that might be the problem. However, it made no difference. I spent a lot of time fixing tucks and dropped stitches. This yarn is a bit rough and I read tips from another knitter to weight the tube to help pull the stitches down. That helped a bit. Your point on the tension was also true. I loosened the tension and it did help. It's been 2 days of non stop fiddling with a two hour project and now down to only one tube left and I'm holding my breath. I think I will crochet with this yarn to use up the rest. It just didn't work for me to use the knitters.
@@JP-zz2fh thanks for sharing.
How many rounds do I need to make for a queen size blanket
@@Ninjaloops93 you will need to measure your bed and then follow the instructions in the video. It will show you how to figure out how many rows and how many tubes.
@@CircularMachineKnitting thank you so much
I just got a used Addi Exp Kingsize and have never used any type of machine before. I’ll first use regulator #4 worsted acrylic, but I have a stash of wool blends with a bit of fuzz that I’d like to make into hats. Can the machine handle that type of yarn? Thank you.
@@jsorensens2 I haven't tried fuzzy wool yet. The best thing to do is to try it. Take you time doing it with little to no tension. If you can do 60-100 rows without an issue, it should be ok to use.
@@CircularMachineKnitting Many thanks!
You have a beautiful personality 😊 and I love the way you make it so easy for me to understand. TY TY MY NEW FRIEND
@@murielgglover4157 you are welcome. I enjoy designing the blankets then teacing others how to make them.
What color of yarn do you use
@@DeborahCapron Lion Brand Pound of Love in White, Thistle, Denim and Pastel Blue.
Thank you
Can you make that blanket bigger
@@DeborahCapron yes. To make it longer add more dark blue rows in the middle of the tube to make it the length you want. If you want it wider, make more tubes.
Thanks for answering me I appreciate it Thanks again
I’m sorry you had trouble with this. But it is sure beautiful! I didn’t catch in the video where you said how to handle the yarn going through the machine. did you use light tension? Did you have to watch for skipped stitches?
@@Helens.crochet389 very light tension. On my Addi machine the only tension was lightly running through my fingers. No, I didn't have to watch. It went through my machine quite well.
Thank you for sharing your tutorials with us.
@@Helens.crochet389 you are very welcome. I enjoy making them.
Thank you Kim.
You are welcome Helen
Would a mattress stitch work to join?
@@ScrappyMim possibly. I have never tried it on a blanket, but have seen it used in videos of other types of patterns. If you try it, let me know how it goes.
Love this one! I purchased the pattern and it will be my next project. Love all your patterns. Could you try making a blanket with the round circles from the 22 needle machine 🙏❤😊
@@sunnydaisy5906 I am so glad that you like my patterns. I am not sure what you are looking for. Can you find me on Facebook, Kim Thompson-Pinder and send me a sample of what you were thinking of and I will see what I can do?
Don't have Facebook but the round circles look like disks . It's like 17 rounds on the small Addi
@@sunnydaisy5906 I will see what I can do, but it will probably be a few weeks.
Great no problem. Looking forward to what you might come up with❤😊
@@CircularMachineKnittingdo you have email address to share with me and I could send you a picture of what the circles look like?

I would love to see the construction of a sweater. I only make hats, throws and scarfs with the addi. I can’t imagine a sweater. Mind blowing
@@buttermilkbaysoap9416 when I make my sweater, I will film it.
Yes!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 so happy this channel. Thank you❤❤❤❤
@@maverickmayhem6409 You are welcome. I have fun trying out these new yarns.
It is not the Red Heart Comfort one that is an issue... It is the Red Heart Super Saver that is problematic in nearly all Sentro and some Addi's.
@@briges.766 Thanks for letting me know!!!
@@CircularMachineKnitting, I wanted to tell you that you should roll up the tube in the center into a donut and never let it drag on the table. If it does, it pushes the tube up causing the problems you were having here. I suggest you try this exact yarn again and use my suggestions. I will say that this yarn is on the rough side and it is kinda ironic how they call this one "comfort". But again not all the Red Heart yarn is a nightmare. The main one that is an issue is the Red Heart Super Saver labeled but the new Red Heart Bitty Stripes run great in the Addi 46.
@@briges.766 Thanks for the suggestion. I gave the yarn to a friend, so I don't have it anymore to try but I will take that into consideration.
Thank you for reviewing this yarn . 😊
@@sweetpeafox you are welcome.
You can see the other 4 variations by going to the end of this video. You can also get the pattern here: rticrafts.etsy.com/ca/listing/1761004840/gingham-blanket-addi-sentro-circular
Thankyou so much 😊
You are so welcome!
24:53 "the easy side" The other side should be just as easy, you don't have to pick apart the beginning of the other end to frog the waste yarn; use your regular number of rows of waste, then do 1 singular row of another color, then start your project yarn. That way when you close the tube you can pull that one row right out and the rest of the waste just falls right off! Try it, it is amazing!!
Great suggestion!!!
@@CircularMachineKnitting I was lucky enough to see this "hack" in a tips and tricks video before I ever started on the machine so I have never had a "hard side" to pick apart 👍👍
Your reviews are so helpful to me. I bought my Addi to make more things fast. This yarn will not do for that.
Glad it was helpful Denise. I bought my Addi for the same reason.
I would love to hear about your experiences with the Red Heart Comfort yarn.
What colours would you do this blanket in?
Thank you for the information. I've been eyeballing it for a few weeks.
@@dport62 you are welcome.
Leave a comment below if there are any yarns you want me to test out?
Natural fibers - starting with wool but also mohair alpaca llama and angora. They are so much more versatile and beneficial for wearing than acrylic. For one thing in cold climates acrylic is just not warm. If it is cold enough to wear mitts it is TOO COLD to wear acrylic. The other issue is health as natural fiber will regulate body temp and help to increase circulation . Without good circulation health will fail . But even more -- good circulation can help to alleviate muscle and joint pain . All acrylic will do is increase the difficulties. I would also like to know if the addi takes natural fiber that is handspun and what the preferred yarn weights are to use on the addi. . So more info would be helpful than is provided with the acrylic . I haven't got an addi yet . I am considering it but for the fact that all I ever see is acrylic yarn being used. It also would sure help to wean people off using plastic acrylic and save our planet as well our health with wearing warmer materials !! It may seem to be cheaper but it is more expensive than realized when factoring in all the difficulties that the plastic yarn creates. .
@@diannefitzmaurice9813 thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, many natural fibers do not work well on the Addi/Sentro machines. I have yet to find a cotton that does. As for the other fibers, I have not tried them as I live in a small city on the edge of Canada and they are not available locally and is expensive to ship here.
Thank you for watching my video. If you have any questions please comment below and I will do my best to answer them.
