I’m 10 weeks post surgery and my wound has yet to start healing.

Fortunately that doesn't happen to us men because in the world according to girlietube male's are forbidden from having any such surgery. I only had my ascending colon removed almost two years ago, which according to the laws of girlietube shouldn't have been allowed to be done because obviously I'm NOT a female.

I am about to have a colostomy. I had anal cancer 17 yrs ago. It left me with radiation disease. At the time I had cancer they did surgery. Now it’s only chemo and radiation. I so appreciate that you make these videos for us Connie. It so helps to not feel alone.

Just found your video so I'm pretty sure this comment is outdated. I go in for my ostomy surgery next month(Jan 9. 2024), and I've been researching TONS just so that I'm not completely dumb to what will be going on. Your video has been very helpful information for me of how to do some of the things I'll be introduced to soon. My illness started with stage III/IV Cervical Cancerkincurable) and the major radiation damage to my entire groin area is what made me search for a surgeon to conduct my stoma/ostomy journey. Scared, not so much. Nerves shot, tremendously. Thank You for sharing some of your journey and putting out such helpful content. Very much appreciated.

The trash bag tucked in your pants is genius!

My ileostomy change takes less than 2 minutes! I take it off, shower and stick a new one on. I don't use any of those other products. When I travel (a lot!) I just precut the hole and im ready to go! It doesn't have to be complicated, it scares some people who need the surgery. 😊

When I had my stoma I would change my bag laying down. I’m a little overweight and liked my stomach to be flatter 🙂
