Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Can you comment on the size of the keyboard and radial deviation? I know you talk about ulnar deviation, but with a smaller keyboard I feel like my hands are pointed inwards rather than parallel with each other, and I am wondering if this is going to be a problem. I was having a lot of pain typing on my laptop which is why I bought a keyboard, but I am not sure if it is too small or not. Thanks! :)
I got a Leap V2 a few months back and I initially kind of hated it. However, I eventually realized that was because I just wasn't used to the chair yet. Initially the back rest and arm rests felt smothering, the seat felt hard to the point where my butt felt sore afrer an hour, and overall I was not comfortable. I did some research and found that companies like Steelcase and Hermann Miller design their chairs with more firm and less padded seats by design. Apparently their research has shown that chairs with minimal cushioning and that focus on rigidly supporting proper seating ergonomics, ultimately helps the body, even if that comes at the expenense of the chair feeling less cushy. In an extreme comparison, one could sit in a Lay Z Boy lounge chair and argue that a Lay Z Boy is astronomically more comfortable than any high-quality ergonomic chair. However, the chair would do more damage to their body over time because of the poor sitting posture, poor support, and poor ergonomics. I bought into it and stuck through it for a good month and a half, and now I can say that my Leap V2 is the most "comfortable" chair I've sat in, just not in the most common use of the word. I feel comfortable in that I no longer feel pain when I sit, and more importantly, I don't feel pain or soreness anywhere else in my body when I get up after a long 9+ hour work day at my computer. I used to use a pretty cushy leather office chair that was "comfortable" in that it was soft and super padded and felt like a giant pillow, so the Leap V2 came at a jarring contrast. However, with my prevoius cushy leather chair, I started to develop a slouch and had some lower back pain after long work days. I also noticed I'd habitually squirm and shift around in that chair for whatever reason. I haven't had that with the Leap V2 at all. Something about the Leap V2 makes it so that my body instinctively wants to sit properly and super straight in it, and feels supported when doing so. I feel less tired after long work days, I feel more alert when I'm sitting, overall I love my chair now. If anyone is reading this and is worried about the uncomfortable seat, just give it a month or two and realize that everything about the chair was rigorously researched and is by design. I was skeptical at first too.
That is exactly how the minimalist/barefoot shoes are designed. They are built against the normal definition of "comfortable". Normal shoes are padded whereas minimalist/barefoot shoes are designed to help strengthen your feet and stand with good posture. People dislike it because it doesn't feel like you are walking on a cloud. Instead, it feels like you are walking barefoot. Well, that is it's exact design. People get hurt wearing them because people end up trying to use them just like they do with their normal shoes. So, I wonder if this is a direct example for the Leap. It's designed to help your posture but some people are used to the squishy, plushy feel that makes them feel like it's comfortable but is instead worsening their posture. Good observation. Just curious, how did you find their idea or their intention with their design of the Leap v2?
I really enjoy watching your videos, especially now that I’m trying to start my OT business. I’m currently an occupational therapy assistant with 4 years of experience working mostly with the geriatric population. I’m looking to start a business channeled towards adult wellness through therapeutic exercises and regaining independence in self-care activities and personal hobbies. Do you think I can pull this off without needing an OTR? 😅 I would also appreciate some tips. Thank you
5:00 are you serious?!? then whey are they there why talk to you, they can stay in bed and leave you alone if they don't want to have anything to do with therapy!?! makes nO sense
the amia and the leap v2 have the same exact stock cushion, theyre just different seat pans.
Ot make simple tasks nearly always wayyyyy tooo much or what it doesn't need to be..... grew up with spina bifida ot all over everything untill 16 🤢😂32 now

I need a sockaid bc I cannot reach my right foot due to a ruptured tailbone n I'm not even suppose to bend to reach down. Soooo to discourage ppl to not use a sockaid n also assume that it's self explanatory as to how to use it, is rude, arrogant & just all around mean. Many of us due to pain, are not quick minded as before. That in itself is so difficult to live with. I'm actually quite hurt & offended bc of your manner from the very beginning. I pray you'll demonstrate abit more of a open mind & especially empathy for many like myself. For those whom agree to disagree, thats fine too. Paz be with us all 🙏. "Sra Isa"
Sorry if the video was offensive, I made this video mostly for therapists. There is a tendency in therapy to recommend sock aids usually after back, hip, or knee surgery. However, most people don’t need them after 2-3 weeks and continued use can actually make patients worse off. This video is mostly intended for therapist that over prescribe sock aids.
Recently one of the congress women who is actively seated had been “missing” for MONTHS and was recently FOUND in a dementia unit of a nursing home 🤔🤷🏾♀️
This is EVIDENCE that whomever we think is president, is actually a PUPPET. Who is really in charge and what is the agenda? Why do we prop up people who are wealthy, and well connected, with questionable affiliations and are WELL BEYOND RETIREMENT as candidates to run our country and make such vital decisions? That is so insane! What companies would hire someone in such a state of decline? This is too important for us to continue in this way. 🤔
I use a ProtoArc trackball. I have carpel distal and I keep it barely noticeable by taking care of my hands with an ergonomic trakball and keyboard. (Microsoft wireless one with the triangular hole in the middle) I am a terrible typist as that was for secretaries in my high school, not scholars. I x=can use this trakball anywhere as on my thigh, on a side table or a cushion.
Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to look into it
I've never seen or ever known anyone who wears compression socks use a sock aid if they didn't really need one. They're horrible devices and not as easy to use as they look. You would only use one if you were totally desperate. I'm in my mid 50s and last year a virus left me with partial paralysis... it literally took a few minutes from walking normally to find myself collapsing with no ability in my muscles to move and get myself out of a crazy situation. I've been exercising for six months since I left hospital, I've had improvements in many ways but not as fast as I would have expected in my legs. I like being independent, I hate needing help, but I still can't put compression socks on... they're sooooo strong, it takes strength I still don't have. Even sock aids are not that much good to me yet, I still need a person help me get compression socks on... depressing.😕 Even nurses and trained carers can struggle with getting those horrible compression socks on without a sock aid. Also a sock aid can prevent skin injury while putting compression socks on for those like me who have damaged skin. Sometimes it's more about recovery from injury, pain, or muscle damage that allows you ability, not always about exercise.
I had a patient who used on of these for compression stockings: amzn.to/3PfOHmc You can also get special gloves to make it easier. I had one patient that swears by it but I think there’s a bit of a learning curve
Thank you for your insight! I wonder which job is more physically and mentally demanding, such as a nurse or an occupational therapist?
This was a very awesome and calming presentation. Your tone was soothing and caring. Now I get it.I need to stop drinking so much at night and fix my sleep. Thank you. I liked, donated, and subscribed. Keep up the good work Namaste
That was so nice of you. I’ve never had anyone send a donation. What a very kind gesture. Thank you!
Thanks!
Can my OT help me break a widow just in case my parents send me to a nursing home or a adult daycare I know it’s highly unlikely and not a appropriate choice but I can’t even get that bad memory of being in a special needs program it’s was so boring and they lock us up and apparently thought we could not even push a gate I was ready to jump out a window it’s just they lock everything
what about if you are in OTA school, and what would help to be prepared for job applications .
More of the same. Get lots of experience and reach out to OTAs on instagram who are working or students. Best of luck!
Your exactly right hospitals def overcharge and double bill always trying to squeeze as much money as they can bcuz they are greedy. Healthcare isnt healthcare they are just corporations making a profit off sick people its sad
Yep. And that’s why I’ll never donate to a hospital.
Does anyone use it with a macbook by connecting the dongle via a USB to USB type-C adapter? Does it work stably?
That should work just like any other usb device
@@otfocus Yes, it actually works, thanks. I tested few days ago my keyboard and mouse in my friend's macbook. Everything works including horizontal scroll when you press scroll wheel right or left. Some people on internet mentioned that feature didn't work.
This was such a helpful video! I’ve been suffering with overactive bladder for over a year and I will try this out!
Thank you! Hope it works and definitely see a pelvic floor therapist. They may extra techniques to help.
@ yes thank you, I cut out caffeine completely out of my diet and that has helped along with the bladder training.
Dawg I’m 6’2(bout 189cm for the metric people) and my current desk is 29in. It’s too damn high and I’ve been using it for a year and a half. It’s caused the exact problems you described. I’ve been leaning forward and it’s been putting a strain on my wrists. Hoping the strain isn’t permanent but I’m looking into getting a standing desk. Gonna take a while so for I might see if there’s something out there for cheaper. I’m tryna get my hands on something quick.
Dang! Hope it works out! Desk jobs are terrible on the body, so making those small adjustments are critical.
What is the role of Oc assistant
OT assistants carry out the treatment and follow the plan of care while OTs do evaluations and treatment.
Dude you should do more modern research on lifting mechanics and spinal health. Your injury concern is not that serious and most PTs that have kept up to date with modern research will tell you that your back will adapt to whatever you give it! Including rounding when lifting and awkward positions. Even herniations are recoverable and prevention only takes a little strength training especially in your spine. Do some deadlifts or lifting if any kind and you will be fine. There are much more dangerous professions.
Great advice. I think it’s a combination of the too. You have to lift and exercise but you also have to avoid those awkward postures and prolonged sitting. I’m mostly talking about the micro trauma that causes musculoskeletal disorders.
@ I’m sorry if I came off harsh I was an exercise science major before switching into medical imaging and now considering OT or PT. I see people so scared to move or hurt there body in todays world that people often regress to a place where they can barely handle any new kind of physical task. So scared to load or move spine in any awkward way that the first time they do they get injured. Control stress, load your body in different and unique way, control volume and intensity and most people will be set up to handle most of the modern work jobs without any problems. You and your joints and everything else are extremely adaptable to anything you give it. Thanks for your videos they have given good insight and OT is still a career I’m considering at the moment !
thanks for your thorough review.
My pleasure!
I am a final-year physical therapy student in Israel. In all of my courses and internships-whether in hospitals, child development, or rehabilitation-the therapy goals are focused on function and participation. The aim is not to improve range of motion, strength, or balance in isolation, but rather to enable the patient to perform daily activities independently, especially in cases of deficits in the motor system. This is why most of the research and exercises we use are based on function and participation. For example, in the case of an older woman who has undergone a total knee replacement (TKR) and wants to resume her evening walks, part of my assessment will involve gathering detailed information about the environment in which she typically walks-whether it's on flat ground or a slope, the type of surface (pavement, gravel), whether there are other people or obstacles in her path, the distance, and whether it's dark or well-lit. All of these environment- functional and participation-related factors are combined with a thorough objective evaluation and the patient's medical background, and we then design an appropriate treatment plan. The exercises are designed based on the principles of motor learning, tailored to the specific functional goal and the physical capabilities required to perform the task. The exercises are adjusted according to the patient’s current physical condition, with the aim of gradually progressing toward the functional goal. Towards the end of the rehabilitation process, the exercise could very well be the actual walking routine along the path she typically uses, incorporating all the necessary components. This will help build the patient's confidence and ensure they are able to perform the activity/participation independently and safely, without supervision.
Thanks for sharing. There’s a lot more emphasis on function in physical therapy. I feel like both disciplines are so closely related.
I have the same IKEA Legs which are 27.5 tall if I recall + the desk top which is 1.5 inches so you get like 29. If I put my chair where my feet are flat, I have 2 fists between my knee and the desk. I have to raise my chair to get 90 degree elbows and then use a floor foot stand. I hate it. Building a new desk and hoping to change this.
Yep I have the same issue. You can add a foot rest but I find that getting a thinner desk that can raise and lower is ideal.
5:50 - leap v2
so I don't think sock aids in and of themselves are the problem, the issue is over prescription and why as OTs (I include myself in this) we over prescribe aids.
for the seat by itself, you should inquire crandall office about it, maybe you can just ask them about the foam see if they can exchange out the foam for thicker foam
They will do that. Infact, you get a discount if you are a previous customer.
Hello there i ordered your examples about a month ago. Still waiting. Any updates?
Hi I’m sorry about that. It should have given you a link to download them. I’ll look into it
Just got a used Leap V2 and it is night and day. Very good lumbar tension adjustments which is a plus.
You're lucky. My used leap killed my tailbone for a couple months until I just got used to it
@@NecrophagistGGThat’s terrible. I have not experienced any tailbone pain…knock on wood. After using my chair for over a week I noticed that the recline is sticky and squeaks. I’ll have to get some silicone spray to lube it up a bit.
I just ordered a standing desk (even though I have no interest in using it standing) for this reason. I'm the same height as you and the typical 29/30 inch desk is way too tall
I am also same height thinking of buying adjustable desk what height do you place your desk?
@@siddharthgulati7011 I have it at 27.5 inches
Thank you for sharing your tips!! You have the same ideas as I do, and hearing someone doing this is totally motivating. This video is now a year old so I hope that you're more established by now!
You are so welcome! I actually recently moved so I’m starting over from scratch.
agree❤
Great videos and recommendations. You're a great instructor. I'm also an OT and work in the home health setting.
Great video 👍👍
Your videos are so helpful and informative. Thank you so much!
What are some exercises to help flexibility so that you can put on socks easier?
Every 20 Hours look away for 20 milliseconds at something 20 meters far 👌🏻
Hii I am speech Therapy I want to talk to you
Hello David McCombs It's nice reaching out to you Are you available for a discussion regarding your Udemy course?
By getting sick in America can get you broke. That's why its important to stay healthy as possible. The medical industry doesn't want people to get well otherwise they wouldn't make money.
My dad refuses to use his sock aid...😮
Actually, plush seats that dig deep are the opposite of ergonomic and same goes for beds. Not sure if you are feeling the plastic but if not, that's normal. As for the recline, yeah I wish it wasn't sticky.
BTOD Lamia is an option if you're willing to go refurbished. It's the Leap V2 frame with the Lamia seat. Check it out. Thanks for the upload!
This is perfect actually! Simple yet very informative 👍🏾 defo stealing this 😅 thank you.
This was extremely helpful, thank you so much.
i don't know if other people do the same or not my rule of thumb for space form monitor is 1 to1.25 for monitor size (for horizontal) like 24" i will place screen away for 24"-30" away that my sweet spot and can see whole screen without move my head.
BTOD has been making a crossover of Leap and Amia chairs for years. Lamia is Leap frame with Amia seat, Ameap is Amia frame with Leap seat. Sounds like Lamia is what you are looking for. I have a Leap V2 and love the seat, but if you want Amia seat you can definitely do it!!
