Liquid Level Detection on a Coagulation Device
This device is a liquid-level detecting probe that is used for a coagulation analyzer. A coagulation analyzer is used to test a patient’s blood clotting properties to allow for screening and treatment. This device would detect the blood sample level in a vial and aspirate the necessary amount of blood for the required tests. The current device does not have a 100% success rate in detecting the level of the liquid and can be falsely triggered by a liquid bubble or foam on top of the sample. This causes the probe to aspirate air, leading to incorrect results from the blood tests. The goal of this team was to improve upon this current design so that the probe accurately detects the level of ...

Da Socks
Просмотров 22Месяц назад
The goal for the MSD team will be to develop prototype compression socks that are easier for the users. There is no constraint placed on the approach other than that they need to be able to build and test the outcome. The team is encouraged to try several parallel approaches, and prototype early and often. The client is open to the idea of an assistive device that helps the user put on today’s ...
Art Music Audio-Visual Installation

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of "Art Music," an interactive audio-visual installation that merges visual art and generative music. This interactive experience leverages pixel data from a digital representation of Scott Rispin's painting, Transition: Brook and Bank, to breathe life into a synthesized ensemble of piano, viola, and double bass. The result is a harmonious fusion of vis...
Ollie Box

This Rochester Institute of Technology: Multidisciplinary Senior Design project aims to provide an automatic system, called an "Ollie Box," to horn the sequences that begin dinghy sailing races. This system will reduce the focus of the primary race official on the timing of the sequence and increase their focus on the legality and safety of the race starts. The improved race start situations wi...
Smell U Odor Sensor
Просмотров 9Месяц назад
The Smell Inspector is a device made by Smart Nanotubes that can record smell data to a CSV file. Being a relatively new piece of technology, it has a small database. Part of the problem with building a database is that readings for new smells take 40 minutes from start to finish. With our product, we intend to automate this process so that 3 readings can be taken before user input is needed on...

"The booth will have a rubber manta ray (~2 ft. wingspan, ~1 ft. length) sitting on the table in a mostly assembled state. It will have one wing fully enclosed and operating on a loop to show functionality, and the other wing will be open to show the internal muscles and structure of the wing. The electronics and pumps of the system will be visible to passing visitors. The robot will be connect...

There will be prototypes and a poster, as well as a monitor with a pre-recorded video (or, if we're able to, a livestream of the competition that team members will be at during the same time as Imagine RIT!
The BEEBO -- Robotic Arm for Education
Просмотров 5Месяц назад
"Control systems are a key concept for every Engineer to understand. These are the systems through which the output of devices (such as motors) is regulated to obtain any desired output. For example, control systems are how your thermostat can maintain the internal temperature at your house. The Beebo provides an example of control systems that Biomedical Engineering students can watch, manage,...

Okay that actually looks really good for glasses too. I would definitely like to try this.
like it-excellent drone!😇
Good information 👍
How hard is it for American student to take a summer course there? What is the cost staying on campus for a summer program in 2024.
How you made this, I want it avaliable on any shop!
great project, it's good to see a young team like this doing something connected with radio as few people understand that what they use all day every day is a radio-based transceiver. (PS use a radio-mike next time? lol)
hi have you published any articles about it please?

👍
Hi! Any update with this project? It is extremely interesting!
How do you apply fluorescence particles? what is the lighting source features? LED/UV?
Great video for science popularizing. 👍
Very nice
It's a very interesting system. It could even work for a game consisting on the use of magic, very nice and creatives ways to manipulate objects in a VR enviroment, I'm glad to see that some people are still aiming for Virtual Reality.
we made a derivation of phonon's total energy using Debye’s approximation the other day in Stat Mech class. The concept was introduced using sound waves. How can one relate what you just said and sound waves?
Thank you
Wow! That was the most succinct and understandable video on phonons. Great work!
Greetings RIT Engineers, do you have any published results or presentations for your testing? I am currently looking at a similar testing regime, and would love to communicate further with you all. Thank you for your time. Regards, Nathan Hall (This is also my very first RUclips comment).
Thanks for the simplification.
This is amazing
phonons are sound particles too
Looking forward to this channel!😻🤟
this is amazing. I literally just started designing this system from scratch because i could not find any open source versions. where can i find it?
yo this song slaps
amazing!
First
It’s probably too chunky to fly although the design is good
you should mention that heat is just vibration of atoms. otherwise good video
nah. I thought that this video is going to be about dubstep.
Take my money.
I'll be anctiusly waiting for your development , thanks a lot in advance
Props! Thanks for sharing
any progress?
Yes!! This is brilliant. I stumbled upon this video after looking for exactly what you are doing now. Keen to hear how you guys are going, keep us updated.
I agree completely. The cheapest one right now is like $ 14000 by mark forged and 15000 from Anisoprint. Oh now that Im typing this I see Cameron basically wrote the same thing : )
I was thinking about build one for some time, but time constraints don't allow me to do it.Hopefully You succeed and release it to DIY community.
Is there a place where we can follow progress?
How to made that fuel.
Maybe 34%alcoholic sugar + 64%Kno3 + 2%Fe2O3 and this and it is cooked in a pan.
Should be R-candy
Resin 91.7g, Hardener 18.33g, Red Iron 40g, KNO3 349.97
simple yet understandable.... thank you... I hope you make a deeper explanation.
Those who control the Text Books and the Media control the "World View" of the masses. A couple of generations of Indoctrinating Children in School has resulted in the majority of today's Adults believing and blindly passing on everything they've been taught as if it's fact. There's no such thing as the Big Bang, Gravity, Rockets, Space Travel, and Planets we can travel to and land on. There's no such thing as Outer Space.
"Sir, this is a McDonald's drive thru"
Funny!@@firstnamelastname.7749
Vey interesting...
Keep us updated on this open source model so we are not reliant on the limited mark forged and anisoprint offerings
oh absolutely. As a community of engineers we would bring this tech forward so much faster compared to these 2 companies.
Excellent job Andrea!
