Thule Van Lock attack test

An attack test using just a rubber mallet and a screw driver
Annoying asssss music.
Very hopeful I try to buy it now this Video i change my mind
Load of crap
This guy is van thief.
Great job exposing the serious weaknesses of the lock🙏
I bought 2😢
Lock inside only
LOL
Wer will kommt immer hinein, da hilft garnichts.
That's what I've got fitted. Vehicle robbers just walk on by when they see these.
Chi si fa strapagare questi prodotti e soprattutto chi li produce dovrebbe prendere meno in giro alla gente
I actually thought it was a product video from Thule showing how hard it would be!
So funny the whole video you just keep switching the lock backwards and forwards xD
Worth every penny them then eh? Not fit for purpose
Qué gracioso que eres encima explícales a los chorizos como hacerlo Que poco cerebro tienes
Why he is using rubber hammer 🙄
More force can be applied without the fear of slipping and damaging the paintwork
thule should be ashamed for selling this crap
Blimey that didn’t take long at all…! Dead locks on my fan, barrel changed on drivers door and shields on wire loom on doors. Ed locks shephed Leicestershire, best thing I had done. 👍🦊
Thanks man, you just save me some cash!
Huh...for 70bucks would think it would hold up better, guess I will scratch this off my list
Easy fix for this spot weld some rebar across the top, makes them much stronger

Would you recommend these as the best locks for vans? 🤔
How easy was that!!! 😯
Well done mate. Exactly what I was looking for. Now I know not to buy that lock. I thought it looked really flimsy! 😎👍
Why play that crap music?
Gracias por allanar el camino a los ladrones👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What if I humer it wit 5kg hammer from the top?
Yeah, a thieving scumbag isn’t go it to rock up with a rubber mallet.
Yeah brilliant idea show all the scum bags how to break in to vans. ARE YOU FOR REAL.
I installed a basic milenco, even I cannot open it with the key, I would not recommend
Get Thunderbolt Locks and the problem is solved!
Wow what a pile of shit. so nearly bought this too.
Back to wiring the door handle for 220v...
I'm buying a gun to kill one of them thieves if I see them
wow I'm disappointed, definitely won't be buying this
Best solution is what Mr Bean does....remove the steering wheel.
how does that protect the contents in you van?
@@EthanSandomire no steering wheel = wreck car = not interested for thieves
@@pradub3541 most van break ins, thieves don’t even look in the cab, they just break in the cargo area to steal tools.
Won’t be buying one of these then, thanks for showing
Milenco locks are held to the door by screws, put that screwdriver behind the lock and this video would last 5 seconds
Instead of music, show us how it looks and sounds! Burglar dont like to be notice.. if banging on that slot cause too much havoc, most of them wont try...
You clearly don’t know much about modern cargo and transport van burglary... have you seen what they do to some vans to get in these days? power saws through the roof, bending doors in half, pneumatic punches through locks... I don’t think they’ll care much about the sound of a hammer and chisel on a lock. Go look at some of the van break in pictures on Sussex installations security channel, I think you’ll be surprised. This is the problem I think for most people, especially van lifers, they genuinely under estimate and have no clue of the lengths a thief is willing to go through to get what they want. They really won’t have an issue with a hammer and chisel.
@@neilgooge if so, those locks aren’t stopping them... luckily I haven’t seen such thing on mainland Europe yet...
@@AlexCailliau No, they're definitely not. I wouldn't use one of these locks at all. I'll be going full dead bolts and body clamps. This stuff seems to be a real issue in the UK, hence Sussex Instalations needed approach. Outside of the UK, extra locks, even these ones, seem to be a really good deterent. If they can see additional security it seems to be enough to stop an attempt. Like you mention, they don't want the attention or the hassle. Van theft and break ins seem far more oppotunistic outside the UK. The UK has a very... special... breed of criminal. Like true career criminals... It sucks.
Noise isn’t an issue if it doesn’t take long. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have people busting windows to get into a car.
Milenco locks are rubbish, They let the doors open whilst locked to make prying easier. The instructions say where to fit the side door lock, The door opens and bends the lock an loosens screws. Complain direct to Milenco and they don`t care, say it`s user error and there is nothing wrong with lock or instructions. STEER CLEAR!!!
Was going to buy one of these style locks think ill go with the internal deadlock instead after seeing that.
Rubber mallet ?? Use a proper steel hammer,do it in half the time if not quicker !!!!!!!!!!!
Think the point is LESS NOISE, thieves like LESS NOISE!!
Are all those types of external door locks bad? would a stainless steel lock hold up better
For that style of lock an armourshell or a Ultimate lock are the ones we know that hold out well. British Gas have the Armourshells on there vans and we fit a lot of them onto pumping companies in our area. We would say either one of those or a HookLock
Thanks, I'll look for one o those
Thanks for showing the world how to do that. Idiot
As a commercial vehicle security company its more of a point to show people not to buy the cheap crap locks as they are not up to the standards
Get a grip, Thief's will already know how to do this, he is showing you why you shouldn't put that Thule lock on your van
you're the idiot.. he is showing you how easy it is to break the Thule lock.. Duh!!!
Not much thought went into this comment. Shows the lack of intelligence behind the screen.
