    Curt Gowdy actually broke into baseball broadcasting with the Yankees in 1949/50 as the #2 to Mel Allen. The lead Red Sox position opened up in 1951 and Gowdy left for Boston. In his fifteen years in Beantown he became a fan favorite announcing for some bad Sox teams.

    Thinking that Coke must have sponsored the Sox in 1957. BTW, in 1957 the Red Sox were 1-17 against the A's and Ted Williams had an .098 batting average against the A's!

    Did you notice the players back then. They were all different shapes and sizes. Some thin, some chunky, some muscular. Today and since Barroid Bonds, they all are hulking gorillas. Weight training, steriods, and other PEDs. The game today sucks.

    Do you lose stereo using this ?

    • @marknowlin8356
      @marknowlin8356 4 месяца назад

      Hi, I think that you would lose stereo. There is one 1/4-inch input jack that would run from your instrument into the Ultra Harmonist. The manual says the input supports a TS 1/4-inch, not the TRS 1/4-inch you would need for stereo. There are 2 output jacks, but the manual says one sends the processed signal and the other sends an unprocessed signal.

      You’re just desperate to feel sophisticated, like every other millennial. Hate to break it to you, but none of these players or announcers believed in any “climate emergency,” none of them believed everyone in Africa or Asia had some kind of cosmic “right” to move here, and none of them believed that black people should be exempted from the criminal law, ala BLM. In other words, they all would have viewed you and your blue-haired friends as freaks.

    There was a guy making a comment that these look like grown men in pajamas, especially with the elastic wasteband. Maybe so. However, blue jeans, dress pants and tuxedos are even worse options. I used to wear short shorts and knee pads in my softball league. When I slid into bases, often I'd get a little dirt caught in my jock strap. Play ball!

Atlanta's Joe Torre hit a solo HR in the bottom of the 13th, his second of the game. It was the Braves' first game in Atlanta after moving from Milwaukee.
