Hi, nice job. 2002 XL883R, any suggestion where a could relocate the ignition key for a nice place and neat look? It's actually on the right side beside the coil. The coil will be move exactly like in this video and the choke will be move on the right, beside the carburetor with a locating bracket. I like your video and the way you do it, with all the details that are so important and missing in many competitors. Thank you.

Hi, very good video, thanks. Out of interest I have an old suzuki 200r trials bike. Unfortunately I had to unscrew the flexi pipe and now don't have any nitrogen in the reservoir. Can I still use it or should I strip it down and refill the nitrogen? Don't plan to do any off road riding. Look forward to your reply if you have time. Kind regards.

went away from powder coating to PoR15 for simple reasons, pls. choose from: 1. pc rust underneath when damaged but you don't see it for a long time. And when it chips away, it's nearly to late to save the part bc the rust dents are too deep. 2. finding a guy who will do the blast and pc job seriously for a reasonable price. 3. the most dumb ass in the company (probably less payment) has to do the blast job and uses the blast media '...they always use...' which has the same effect as to rope the Part to your rear bumper and go on a Highway Trip. 4. The most blind one will do the powder job but theres no way to turn the part to reach all the edges or areas underneath so you will have blind spots. Always. 5. pc can bubble up in edges of welded segments e.g. steel wheels. 6. losing some of your parts but getting back some parts from other restaurations. Taking photos before and making a list is mandatory. 7. mostly, but not always the color matches to whats agreed. Coming to PoR15, ja preparation is bit pita, but I'm in control of my parts and the results are amazing. I do Car suspensions, Springs and all linkages and Frame parts. Never had anything coming loose or chipping away. Love this stuff!

Great video. I installed mine today. 04 sporty. Only thing id say is it qould have been great if youd slowed down a lite and showed some close ups of the way the pieces went together. I had a little trouble following and had to pause frequently. First ride today with my aliexpress forwards and they seem pretty darn good! Much better riding position for 6"3' me.

The downside of having them near turn signals is that they will likely create a photonic barrier that will prevent your turn signal from being seen. That’s the reason modern vehicles are using switchbacks, to mute the headlight when a turn signal is activated, and then once the turn is completed the headlight comes back on.

Only did a store and back for test ride, but can already see you'll have more wiggle room on long rides. Don't have to hunt for neutral anymore!! Shifts smoother , brake seems a bit stiff but probably the different foot position. Definitely putting my old MX pegs on.

Did you ever complete the side peices on the xr250? I have a problem with my xr250r that would probably be solved if could see a video pertaining to the left side cover as good and thorough as this one was.(even half as thorough would probably save me)

Shouldn't the "wavey" Oil ring be sandwiched between the two solid oil rings? That is the way I've always seen it.

Way more simple than my approach. I am wiring in a rectifier and a DC regulator on my AC lighting circuit. Probably gonna have to cut away wire shielding to see where in the heck everything goes (better than running the bike all day to prob for voltage and draw up a schematic by hand).

Loads of bike frames come painted from the factory and it holds up fine. Most of them actually. I wouldn't paint a frame without sanding. It wont last.

100% did this and it's so incredibly worth it. Two things I did differently...used SW Motech light mounts and replaced the switch with a $10 waterproof/illuminated handlebar toggle from Amazon...massive improvement on my '21 Versys 300. THANK YOU!

At 9:22 you put a retainer on for the cam chain tensioner.. I'm currently rebuilding an '01 XR250R and I don't remember there being one of these retainer clips in mine. It also appears as though no one sells this retainer clip. Do you have any idea if this is a necessary component?

The Axle assembly should come in from the left side of the swing arm.
