My cat loves to knead me! Her favorite places to knead me, and on the neck, and right below the knees. She also has a very loud purr, which she shows, when she kneads me!

"Imagine yourself as a cat"....hmm....sleeping all day, someone picks up my poop and pays all the bills...what a life!

I have been a dog person in my adulthood. Around age 10, we had a female cat who one night insisted to sleep under my blanket. A couple hours later, I woke up from the cold things that kept touching my legs. When I turned the light and moved my blanket I saw our cat laying on my bed while five kittens were having her milk. A few months ago, A very cute and extremely friendly cat kept wanting to come inside my house. As soon as I sat on the couch without my invitation she sat on my lap and with her face she kept trying to scratch her face followed by licking my hand. Despite her many visits I made sure not to give her any food, she kept coming to visit me repeatedly. I ended up buying her the cheapest and smallest cat food bag to avoid any serious relationship. Now, at night she sleep on my bed and every night with her claws she goes through this annoying ritual of keep scratching my blanket and then she lays down to sleep.

The people cats love the most are the people who FEED them. Period.

After I first married, we moved about 10 miles out of a small rural town onto some land that was a part of the ranch my mother in law owned. My MIL nor husband had any cats and she wasn't a 'cat person' at all. Our closest neighbor was a couple of miles away. She had zero cats and in fact no one around had any. At the time I had no cat having lost mine, from old age, that had been my best friend since I was a preteen. Within a week of being settled into our first home a stunning young Siamese tomcat just appeared and decided to stay. He was a sweet and loving boy and before too long, our cat ownership had grown to 5 cats. Resigning my husband to eventually become a 'cat person' after not having any around while growing up. Lol

My sister's cats love me whenever I come over and greet me and Nalaa let's me pick her right up which my niece is shocked by because she doesn't like anyone picking her up yet I pick her up and scratch behind her ears and she enjoys that lol.

Some friends adopted a kitten. Whenever I come over the kitten jumps from couch to me and sit on my shoulder. Buddies wife was upset because kitten never did anything like this to her. It was funny

I have been a cat parent for five and a half years. When I adopted my cat, he had been a street cat who had turned up at my brother and sister-in-law's place and crying for food. He had been neglected, and probably mistreated. I agreed to take him for a few reasons. At the time my brother already had three cats and they weren't allowed to have any more. I was told that having a cat would do me good. When my cat first came to live with me it took time for him to know that he could trust me and that I wouldn't mistreat him. I would come and talk to my cat at regular intervals so he could get used to the sound of my voice. I spoke to my cat in a gentle voice. I would touch him. Gradually my cat became more affectionate towards me. During feeding times he would come up behind me and nuzzle my hands. He would purr. Next my cat jumped into my lap for the first time. Now he will curl up into my lap and sleep. He even uses my arm as a head rest.

I traveled to Oakland Maryland a few months ago and there was a cat in the hotel parking lot. He or she immediately bonded to me. I was petting the cat and when I opened the hotel room he immediately came in. I noticed there was a sign that said "500 room charge for animals in the room. " I said in a real gentle voice - "I'm sorry buddy but as much as I'd like you to you can't stay." Eventually he went out and the next day I saw him camped out next to my hotel door. There were these women near by and I told them what happened. One of them said - "He's security." I just smiled. What a rascal 🙂
