Fixing my sunroof with a $10 junkyard part + interior refresh!
Просмотров 3322 месяца назад
Hey there! In this video I took some time to step through replacing the sunroof dial on my 2004 Audi B6 A4. I got a replacement unit from a B7 A4 and it worked like a charm. I also spent some time cleaning up other parts of the interior making it feel a little more like "my car" after buying it a few months ago. Swapping the center console in my B6 Audi A4

Hey there! In this video I step through the process to remove the center console in my B6 Audi A4 in order to swap in an updated console from a B7 A4. The updated console gives me cup holders and a lot more usable space than the existing console. It is a fairly straight forward process, and I hope this video helps explain how to complete the swap, including how to adjust the ebrake assembly whi...

    I followed you and @208tyler recommendations on the rubitrek tires and I loved them! Sadly that tundra got totalled last month I got another tundra that already had ko2s with half tread left. When it's time I'm going back to those rubitreks that was an amazing tire. Honorable mention is backup camera! I had one on my last tundra and the new one without it is a tough drive at times. Hey Sal! I have an ‘05 Tundra. I commented a while back about the leveling kit you installed on your truck. When you said that they were a good quality product, you were so right! I was super impressed. I installed the same one on mine and couldn’t be happier!! 😁😁 The only thing is that my upper ball joints clip the coil overs. Is that normal leveling kit behavior? It’s not hurting anything, it’s just annoying at times. I also just bought some Sylvania LEDs as well and Installed them yesterday. They actually work pretty well as compared to what some others have said. I love the setup of your truck! Im currently saving for some wheels (and another project car I have. 😝) Keep up the great content!!! My question for you is, are you going to continue modding your truck?

    Super random but have noticed with the atoto that it shuts of and loses connection in specific areas of town? I swear mine loses connection at the exact same spot on my way to work everday. I wonder if its like a frequency error or something. Also ive messed with the eq on mine and it seems that the “rock” preset is the only one that sounds good. But even if i match the eq with the exact settings as the rock preset. It still doesnt sound the same. Does yours do that too?

    I went today to get the Rubitreks put on; in large part because of your videos. 3 of them were more than a year old so I refused them. They're ordering more but it'a still a crapshoot. (Sam's Club). But they were very cooperative about it. The first thing I did was a new head unit and speakers. My speakers were literally rotted out. And do I look like a subwoofer kind of guy 🤣? Pass. I added the rear view camera and sirius xm. Dropped a load on all that. I have some factory alloys and even though they're not my favorite, I can't really justify new ones. The tires will add a bit by themselves. I'm a complete research nut and it took me a lotta time to go with them. Used a restoration kit on my headlights; they're just fine. Working on the rest. Thanks for the vid's.

      That's weird that they're doing that. Maybe it's slightly different wiring for 05/06 which causes the problems. Thanks for watching!

    Absolutely love your channel. I just purchased a 2005 Tundra DC and installed the same F7 WE, Natika back up camera in the same location as yours, and did an under seat 8" sub. Nothing cooler than a 2024 truck from 2005! Keep up the great work, Sal!

    I have an ‘05 with 148k on it.its the 2wd double cab sr5 limited. I’d like to change the differential oil but my goodness I’ve been told all kinds of different brands, weights etc. What is it with these 1st generation tundras and confusing recommendations ? 😂

    I’m installing mine today, if I remember I’ll edit this comment with how it went! Edit: Alright, let me start off with that I am fairly new to car modification so it may be easier for someone else. This install took me 2 days, day 1 was removing the old exhaust, my first issue was the bolt on the clamp that holds the muffler pipe to the resonator was very rusty and stripped, so I had to cut it off with an ankle grinder, thankfully before installing I thought this might happen so I bought a new one of Amazon before hand. I had to stop on day one because I could not get the new pipe on to the old pipe all the way no matter what I tried, I even tried the ice and the heat but to no avail. So on day 2, I put my truck on an actual lift and was able to hammer the pipe on with a rubber mallet. Then I was able to install the new parts without too much issue. (I work at an auto shop so I only had access to a lift on my lunch break) I’ve driven around for a little bit with the new exhaust and have been very happy with it. No droning at idle, and it sounds great on startup and when you give it gas. I bought mine of realtruck for about $400. Overall it’s a good choice for a first gen tundra, I think my friends will be jealous… 😂

      @@JDMDrivewayafter taking the exhaust clamp off, the 2 pipes seem to have rusted together, I’m trying some more PB blaster now. Any ideas if that doesn’t work?

      Aside from letting that sit, maybe heat would help loosen it up? That's frustrating, best of luck!

    hello, great video, thanks. Did you put lift kit only on the front shock and hadn't on the rear? sorry, newbie here but scored the same truck recently and want to replace shocks and put bigger tires

      @@JDMDriveway thank you and what kind of wheels and tires you’re use? Is that enough just leveling kit for fro wheels to accommodate your rims and tires?

    • @JDMDriveway
      @JDMDriveway 6 дней назад

      @TheMoonOfEndor yep this leveling kit was enough to fit my setup with no rubbing. Its vision Manx wheels in 16x8 +0 and falken rubitrek tires in 265/75r16

      @@JDMDriveway thank you. More questions, but this is the last, promise lol. Would you recommend your wheels and tires set up or you'd buy something else today. Also is it a good/ no good idea to buy wheels used?

    • @JDMDriveway
      @JDMDriveway 5 дней назад

      @TheMoonOfEndor lol no worries at all! I'm definitely happy with my setup, especially the tires. The wheels are definitely a budget option and are super heavy, but I haven't had any issues with them. For used wheels and tires, I would definitely consider them a viable option. I would just try my best to make sure there aren't any annoying leaks or cupping issues. If you want an OEM option, the TRD wheels off of the newer tacomas can be found for pretty reasonable prices and are nice, newer options on the used market and are usually sold with a set of tires mounted already which is nice. I think they look pretty sweet on our trucks too. Hope this helps!

    The 4.7 was actually in the 2nd Gen that hit a million miles first. Whoever told you the transmission has 3 gears is dead wrong. The A340 has 4 + OD. The 05/06 with the A750 does have a 5 speed with OD.
