We Don't Always Agree
США
Добавлен 14 дек 2023
Helmed by Hollywood Black power couple Ryan Michelle Bathe and Sterling K. Brown, We Don’t Always Agree offers an elevated view of learning and growing together even (or especially) when we don’t see eye-to-eye. This dynamic duo explores topics that we weren’t discussing openly 20 years ago and the debates we’ve been hearing since the beginning of time. This show inspires belly laughs, may ruffle a few feathers, and sparks conversations as profound and affirming as they are entertaining.
Speaking Up, Speaking Out | We Don't Always Agree with Ryan & Sterling
With all the intersections of our identities, how do we gauge when, where, how, and what causes we lend our voices to? Ryan and Sterling have stories for days about what social justice, activism, and speaking out means to them as Black people, public figures, parents, and engaged citizens. Ryan may also have a "See, what had happened was" anecdote about that one time she low-key almost got arrested.

Sterling is hilarious 😂
Same. This is so real. Whew!
Congrats I remember watching this episode when it had only 3k views. Best series on youtube easily for guys and ladies. As you see I am watching it again because its so funny. Sterling one of you sorority sisters introduced me to your show for Berkley while you were at Standford. Super glad she did.
These two😂😂😂😂
One at a freaking time.....omg.....
The impressions are pure comedy 😆
Yall's impressions of each other are hysterical. Ryan's my spirit animal, Sterling is literally husband's. I will say though Sterling ive had the same convo with myhusband and i think the intimidated feeling by law enforcement is mutual and sad. 😢
And she didn’t even turn back around
Beautiful couple ❤❤❤

As someone who has participated in this several times out of the country I can tell you…the hilarity, the accuracy and inaccuracies that are honestly going on within individual ppl simultaneously was delivered in the best most delightful way on this here podcast. Please go to reputable practitioners but know that these things have genuine healing effects to for those days ing severe trauma etc. This one was an epic hilarious adventure 😂😂❤
Love this couple! Sterling is so patient. Lol.
Y'all are a real life and realistic "Notebook". This real life shitznit is better than ANY boy meets girl Movie. I mean ANY...you name it..Notebook, Love Jones, Love & Basketball, you name it. And it's REAL. If this was in the theater, we're all crying when ya'll "Ryan & Sterling" take that final walk and he professes his love 😢. Good crying❤
😂😂😂😂😂😂I’m rolling.
Those All Lives Matter shirts are hilarious! They are so conveniently placed.
When I say I am in tears 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great show!
These two kill me 😂😂🤣🤣 in the very best of ways! Absolutely Love them!!!❤❤
It’s so sad that we’re here to have to admit and internalize that there is no safety.
This is so true! I love the topics you all duscuss.
Thank you for recognising that "There is NO safety." It's a terrible truth.
😂😂😂😂
I love this conversation. I relate a lot to Sterling's view and experience. And now I can't get "If I'm dreaming" out of my head. Lol.
@47:12 oh girl…. That’s a lot. Deflection maybe.☺️
@38:17-39:10 Ditto that….
Hahahahaaa😂
I absolutely love it. This is the type of dialogue I want to have with folks, their perspective my perspective, their recollection, my recollection, their experience, my experience. Not too many folks want to have this type of conversation.!!!

She is a excellent story teller. 😮
😂
lol this happened to me with cookie at the movies one night and literally started praying to Jesus to let me live. My man brought me home and put me to bed. I woke up at 7 pm the next day 😂.
Ryan, you got to do the dieta two weeks before! It truly does make a difference. I had my first ayahuasca experience in 2018. It was life changing and I’m feeling called to do it again soon! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
This podcast is amazing! I am enjoying every moment of this podcast, especially the space that you as parents have provided for your sons to have a voice. It’s reflected in this interview with them. I see the younger boy’s seemingly attitude in one of his comments with his Mom differently. I believe he sees her as someone he can fully be himself with, someone he can jest with, cry with, play with, etcetera. As for the older boy, while he may be reserved, his responses are measured with wisdom and a reflection of the positive influence his parents have on him. He reminds me of my eldest son. He always thought that his father and I were dramatic characters unlike himself. In closing, as a public school teacher, I would be interested in knowing more about the younger son’s feelings towards teachers. Why does he feel so negatively towards his teachers? I’m guessing his sharp tongue and unfiltered voice may make his teachers feel disrespected coming from an articulate and intelligent black boy, even black teachers can respond in a negative way towards black students and differently with their white counterparts, showing more acceptance of their voices. Unfortunately , my daughter attended a primarily white elementary school, and her voice was often misunderstood, because she was a smart black girl who was very woke and perceptive about the world around her. However, her white peers could say whatever they wished, good or bad, without any judgement. I teach in a Title One school, and feel a great sense of responsibility for allowing my students the space to have a voice in a safe place. I don’t have a problem with students who disagree with me as long as they do it with civility and respect. Since I teach third grade, of course, I often have to model for them what it looks and sounds like, because I want our black children to know how to effectively communicate their views and not be persuaded by propaganda and false teachings. I also have a vested interest in the light of black boys, because their journey through school is not easy.
Yall dont ask about the contents of things that you are putting in your body?? 😂
😂😂❤😊 there are so cute
I’ve never told anyone this but the first time i tripped i walked in circles just looking at the moon lmaoooooooo i feel so seen rn
