Great video! Question, I can get the bulb out from the top. Is there a reason the bottom portion, the part that is a pain to get off, does it need to be replaced? Also is there a link to get the part? This spa is year and half old and still under warranty, the whole unit your showing has slipped out of its holding bracket and deformed the mounting area at the top of the bulb bracket.

I found a bad solenoid that was causing the fuse to blow. I have replaced several solenoid/valve assemblies (I had some leaks). I have two questions: Do I put all solenoids in ‘off’ position before reporting? Does it matter which PC board tab I attach the two wires of each solenoid? I know where valve 1 PC board tabs are but does it matter which wire goes to the two tabs? I see no identifying marks on the wires of each solenoid.

Excelllent video. I have one question and one comment. Question: you test for AC voltage in series, across the fuse, to validate the fuse. This seemed strange to me and would have indicated a bad fuse in my case. So, I removed the fuse and tested for continuity (0 resistance) and my fuse e6as confirmed to be good. I then tested for voltage output at the terminals and did register 240V, further confirming a good fuse (and a bad pump!). Can you confirm that inline voltage testing should actually be a valid test? Comment: you may also need to note to ensure the spa temperature is not set so low that it goes into "summer mode" as that would shut off voltage to the circ pump.

Thanks a lot, saved me a tremendous amount of time. My seal broke down on that light and it was leaking into my motor compartment. Just dried it out. Put a big silicone bead around it and hopefully that will hold. Thanks for the info.

I have a 2015 Amore Bay spa that gives me an "Unexpected Flow" or "No Flow" error about every month. This reset has helped me, but sometimes it takes 2-3 times for it to work. I have new filters, new water (tub is filled full), and new filter screens. The flow control switch was new in January. I have another new switch arriving Monday. Any thoughts as to what is causing this? I see the small black piece in the switch is not going completely over to the other one. I have also noticed a strange gray rubbery substance that comes out of the jets that breaks apart when I touch it. Any chemicals you recommend to clean the lines inside? Thanks for the help. I don't want to sell this but am getting frustrated and concerned about it acting up in the cold winters here in MN. Thx.

I'm having this problem with my D1 Californian Ultralife 2004 spa that came with my house. Unfortunately there was no such switch on my model. The tech I hired is trying and failing to troubleshoot whats going on. Theres electricity going from the circuit board to the heater, but its not heating. When I originally started up the tub it gave me a temp sensor error, but after I shut it off and restarted it, that error disappeared. Any idea where to start?

My low flow error code will not go away after I replaced the low flow switch. I have new filters also. When I had my low flow sensor switch replaced I lost the heater. What do I do to get rid of the low flow error code and how to do you replace the heating element in my hot tub?

Matt, would you know, I am a follower, a DIY-er keeping my great 23-year-old D1 Triad II running. My question: one of the tabs built into bottom of filter channel to hold the filter screen is broken away, so filter screen, and therefore filter, are not clipped down. Is there a way to replace or repair the tab? Your video demonstration here shows a white circular dummy piece with two tabs on it!! Is this really a thing? Can I get one and, like, epoxy it to the bottom of my filter channel, and be back in business? Would you know a part number or supplier for this? I can't find anything like it on internet . . . Thank you, your vids have been a major help for me. Ellis Ralph

Thank you! Your "Diagnosing a Low Flow Error" video led me quickly to my dead 230V internal-flow-switch pump. I have a newer 115V pump in my must-have $pare part$ collection! and I learned where to move the L2 connection to send the pump 115 V instead of 230 V, so that's fabulou$ and makes my parts pump u$able! I ordered a flow switch T onto the black barb, and wire up a flow switch from the $pare part$. Thanks to you, I can DIY and keep on keepin' on without the exce$$ $pending usually a$$ociated with hot tub$. You make things happen for a lot of people.

YOU DA' MAN! The "skilled technician" from the spa co. replaced the circulation pump. When that didn't fix it, said probably the circuit board, and that's n/a, "it's 20 yrs. old, time for a new one." I'm glad I didn't give up, thank you for this fix.

THANK YOU! You solved a problem I was chasing for two weeks. I had low flow errors, and my circulation pump WAS toast. Replaced that, but still had no heat...but the "heat" light was on! Your video gave me the courage to drill a hole in my heater "j-box" to rest the limit switch. I noted a temporary "high temp error code" on the tub with the water at 48 degrees? Which gave me additional confidence that something had tripped the heater overload. I was at the end of my rope, and the weather next week is forecast in hard freeze territory for days. I was about ready to write my nearly 20 year old Seville off to the weather gods. The reset has been warming the water about 10 degrees per hour. I had a similar situation with my RV trailer a few years ago. A hidden, and undocumented, overload reset switch that was only accessible by cutting a hole. The internet saved the day back then, and it saved it again today. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
