I tried modding a switch lite some time ago and the main issue I encountered is the gear. Sure experience helps and it's crucial (especially for the OLED version which is a nightmare to mod) . If you want to do this than you definitely need some practice and right gear. Also if you can, get the modchip with new (orange see-through) flats. Several people told me they are better and overall easier to install. I tried with the old ones and burnt a connector. Console was fine but flats are highly prone to damage.

Great video, I would personally have used a more narrow tip for the soldering iron and soldering paste in place of solder wire, also heating up and cooling down the solder joint multiple times is bad for the joint and can even damage surface mounted capacitors, if you switch to solder paste you can have perfect connections on the 1st go.

Thing is when the actual switch needs an update, will you lose this mod if you update?

Nice Video! For better results from micro soldering, Try a Bevel Cut tip (T15-BC15 for the small jobs and T15-BC2 for the bigger ones ). It can act like an ink well, and hold a really nice bead of solder that you can place really accurately. It helps you to just plop it down exactly where you need it, instead of trying to look over and under the cylindrical, conical, wedge tips. Hope it helps. Cheers

The point of this video, is the guy is a modder. They usually charge around $100 plus the cost of the chip to mod a switch. If somebody can buy a cart for $60, they don’t need to pay him $100 per console. What a joke.

Keep your screws in your I fix it tray put it on the paper and draw arrows pointing to what square the screws are in and write what part of the switch.

Good information. Mine has been repaired a few times by the guy I bought it from but it keeps having the same issue over and over. Probably is the old flex pcb being reused. Sounds like I should replace with the new one and I wont have the issue.

Stupid logic. Every time popular games are released, they are immediately leaked on the internet. So everyone just needs to buy the flash card and then they can download any game they want. They can't play online even if they buy original game from Amazon and then return it. Because as you said, if someone else buys it, they'll both be banned. So what's the point of buying a game on Amazon and then returning it if you can't play online anyway? It's much easier to download the game from the internet in just a few minutes.

I tried to solder as novice and I lost the left capacitor from the chip the nitendo switch seems to be working fine after i removed the tape and the modded chip but I guess this one is a failure unless I could solder back the capacitor or could i bridge them without it just from the tape?

Tending your wire with solder before introducing it to a motherboard is a great way to reduce heat also fan with speed boost control!

Hello, I have a Slim CUH-2015A, on some pages I have found a list that for several models the exploit does not work, do you know how to make it work on my model? Because after following all the steps it doesn't work, it gets stuck on the internet connection and doesn't try to search for IP, it doesn't stop searching for PADI. I can't do the 4:46 step, my ps4 does not acquire IP when connected to my laptop or other equipment, I have tried 3 different computers. I already tried sharing from the wifi adapter, bridging with the ethernet and wifi network adapter, also with a crossover cable
