@@vithufps Oh! That one isn’t specifically meant for fishing but more as an extra set of action bars in the form of a circular menu that all share one keybind. I use it for potions, defensive abilities, buffs, and fishing. It’s called Opie.

I’ve seen some people play like that and I’m new to that kind of gameplay. That’s why I specifically chose not to call my mage a pure arcane mage. I even said within the first couple of minutes of my first video of this series that my goal for this mage was to spend all points into arcane spec first before dipping into any of the other two talent trees. If I wanted to play that way that you assumed I would play, then I would have labeled myself as a pure arcane mage and included the “no frost spells no fire spells” in my thumbnail as I see other RUclipsrs doing. I could see the extra challenge in that and incentive, and may partake in that myself on a separate character, but not this one because that’s not what I planned for this play through at all. I never meant to mislead anyone. You’re taking other people’s words or objectives and assuming I was doing the same with this particular playlist. My goal with this particular series is mainly for nostalgia and choosing to mainly spec in the least favored and least survivable spec for mage in hardcore classic self-found mode, which already with those few factors makes it notably challenging.

@@josephteller9715 Thank you for your kind words! Your observation is absolutely accurate. Honestly, I’m never a fan of huge streamers in hardcore classic who you can tell get loot handed to them by their fans which is why self-found has way more appeal to me.

@@tidesroyale exactly, when a streamer can muster a thousand other people on a server to hand them off a gold or gear it ruins the game... and when they bring along a padre of followers to mass report people for things they didn't do just to silence them or get them banned it's a disaster for us all. I have seen a server locked up by them by having thousand of their followers log on at the same time as they do, causing massive problems and DCs for folks that were just leveling along. I have lost HC characters when then follower wave caused the servers to force layering events that DC folks or cause hyperspawns where such are not programmed in. I prefer someone like you streaming and playing.

@@josephteller9715 Actually that’s one of my greatest fears in hardcore classic, dying due to a disconnect! Luckily, I haven’t yet experienced any of what you just described. I play on Skullrock server.

@@Vrais23 Tail end of Vanilla were my first ever raids as well but I’d say my real raid experience began near end of WotLK and beginning of Cataclysm when I forced myself to learn how to tank and raid lead. Thank you for sharing. I love feeling nostalgic over WoW.

Hi, I mentioned weapon modifications such as the sharpening stones and weight stones if you have blacksmithing.

@@VegetoStevieD I mainly mentioned weapon modification items like sharpening stones, because you don’t need to trade in order to make them.

I wanted to double-check before giving you another answer. Basically, you'd have to wait to hit level 60, level up blacksmithing, and make all the rods yourself, then dropping blacksmithing and picking up enchanting. @@tidesroyale actually you wouldnt you have to level herbing to level alchemy to get the transmute acranite then have to drop herbing level mining transmute the arcanite the drop alchemy level blacksmithing create the rod then level enchanting or did I miss something

@@kyeema-of-the-shadows That does sound right. I totally forgot alchemy is needed for arcanite crafting. Again, I just pulled this off Blizzard’s forum and from one of their very own classic devs. Seems like you were able to answer your own question.

Hey! My UI that you’re seeing is just Bartender for action bars, Masque to make the action bars look dark, EasyFrames for the player and target portraits, and Quartz for cast bars.

Thank you! Honestly I chose it for enjoyment and class fantasy. I like the idea of being able to smelt bars and forge weapons as a dwarven warrior!

@@tidesroyale Engi and using target dummies gets you to lvl 60! They save your ass when you have alot of mobs after you!!

Nope, it starts on the character creation screen only on hardcore classic servers. When creating a new character, there’s a tiny checkbox that you click on to opt into self-found mode. 😎

@@Salamandoor Thank you for watching and engaging! I’ve been wanting to make a video but haven’t felt there was enough interest. I’ll keep it short: Get the addons Deathlog (to show heat maps for high death areas) & Bestiary (tooltips that show mobs’ spells/abilities. If possible, craft potions and elixirs. If not, buy potions from npc vendors. Absolutely keep your cooking, fishing, and first aid up. It gets expensive, but keep around four stacks of vendor purchased food (definitely cook your own buff food too!). I always buy the highest possible food as well as a level lower than that. I eat after EVERY pull, even if I only lost say around 15% hp, which in that case I eat the cheaper vendor food. Stick to quests that are considered green for your level unless you find a quest buddy. If you can’t find any quests that are green, Google grinding spots for your level and just grind until you gain a level and then do the quests that were once yellow to you. Try to avoid cave quests unless they’re super familiar to you. Always look around you while in combat. If you group up with others, TRUST your instincts. Don’t let some selfish punk fool rush you and lead to your death(s). Don’t get too cocky/comfortable ever. Always be scared in the sense that you value your character’s life cos let’s be honest, one life is all you get. Learn from your deaths and especially your near-death experiences. Hope this helps.
