the atmosphere of the city... is brilliant, but focused on partying and not museums :) However, I agree with the renovations, the city authorities did a terrible job. And it's a pity that these are old photos of the old market square, where it was already opened 2 months ago (date of publication). Tranlator :)

I was in Gdansk last week and October last year transiting to Kaliningrad. Its a beautiful place sadly I only had less than one each time to experience the city would like to spend a weekend there and also visit the surround areas such as Malbork Castle is high on my hit list of destinations.

Лучшего города не существует, потому что для каждого важно что-то своё. Мне в Познани нравится ночная жизнь, леса за городом, озера. И того достаточно, чтобы считать город хорошим. Спорить то смысла нет даже.

About public transport prices, ticket prices that you are talking about are tickets mostly for tourists. In Poznan we have special card named PEKA. Its working the same way like OYSTER in London (you pay for the bus/trams stops you traveled). So in general, when you have this card it is very cheap to move around the city by public transport :)
