The Grand Canal Way Ireland and finish of our 1000km journey across the country.
We did the canal trail over about a week in August 2024, sometimes flip flopping, sometimes slack packing, doing one section on a hotel bike and inclusive of a side trip to Lough Boora.
Ireland is beautiful and if you are looking for easy walking this is a nice one.
Enjoy.

An Irish hiking adventure - The Royal Canal Way 2024
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.Месяц назад
This was a 147km walk from Dublin to Cloondara that follows the canal way and covers the majority of The National Famine Way. We took a leisurely 7 days to do this trail and stayed in accommodation both on and slightly off trail along the way. We completed this in late July/early August 2024 as part of a 1000km hiking adventure across Ireland. Enjoy! #exploreireland #theroyalcanalway #hikingadv...
Final day on The Ireland Way July 2024 - Dunsevrick Castle to Ballycastle

Our final day had it all. Obstacles, trail, beach, cliffs, coves, stiles, roads, rock scrambling and another rescue from kind Irish strangers. Whilst we can’t claim we covered every single step of this epic trail, our final day was adventurous to say the least. Enjoy! #theirelandway #exploreireland #hikingadventures #hikelongandprosper
Day 46 The Ireland Way July 2024 - Portrush to The Giants Causeway

The moodiness of Ireland returns in this video as we are nearing the end of our time on this particular trail. The grey skies changed the colour of the pristine waters and whilst the wind whipped up a frenzy, the ocean remained calm. We visit a castle and cover 20km of beautiful terrain peering into the many coves and reaching the Giants Causeway. After this the wind increased on top of the cli...

❤ thank you for doing this , we used to have more public toilets here in Ireland unfortunately most of them were shut down and got rid of especially in Dublin City I expect due to antisocial behaviour :( Ireland is beautiful unfortunately we suffer from the same problems most or all European counties do. All I can say is - if you want to do this walk you will need to be prepared to go back to nature quite literally and use a dock leaf for your toilet paper 😂 😬❤️

@@patrickoconnor6566 Thank you for your comment, but I noticed a few issues with the punctuation in your message: Comma after 'thank you Liam': There should be a space after the comma. Missing space after '3 weeks late,': There should be a space after the comma. Comma after 'nevertheless': There should be a comma after 'nevertheless' to separate the clauses properly. Double exclamation marks: Generally, a single exclamation mark is sufficient unless you're aiming for a very informal or exaggerated tone. Full stop after exclamation marks: After using exclamation marks, there's no need to add a full stop. The exclamation marks already serve as the punctuation to end the sentence. Correct: Thank you, Liam, 3 weeks late, but nevertheless, good to see the spelling police are vigilant! I hope this helps with your future comments!
