HAY DAY
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.10 лет назад
Well it's that time of year again where I get to break my back getting hay for my wife and daughters horses. This time thought I'd have some fun taking my Hexacopter to the fields and watch then cut, rack and bale the hay before I have to man handle it into our barn. Scale Addition Build
Просмотров 131 тыс.10 лет назад
I'm building a 1150sq addition to my house, two bed rooms for my daughters (currently sharing a small room) two bathrooms, a large mud/laundry room and a BIG MANCAVE. I was looking over the plans and checking the codes when I thought I could build a scale model of the framing to work out the kinks. Little did I know this would end up taking on a life of its own. The scale 1 inch to 1 foot, easy...

GoPro3 and Naza GPS lock interference Fix
Просмотров 6 тыс.11 лет назад
A problem with RF interference from the GoPro3, and DJI Naza GPS. My problem was with the GoPro on, the GPS would drift in a Northwest direction. Turn the camera off and the GPS would lock just fine. I needed a solution to this problem and I couldn't find anyone that had a fix, so I created my own. It works great.
GoPro3 Flight on my AeroSky H100 with Naza GPS
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.11 лет назад
This is the first decent flight I had with my AeroSky H100, installed is the Naza Flight system and GPS, but the GPS wouldn't lock in, I think it was because the GoPro was too close to the GPS antenna. Every time I turned on the GPS it would drift North West, so I flew in Attitude mode, and did fairly good despite the wind that was washing over the school with major down drafts. Still learning ...

AeroSky H100, with NAZA-M with GPS upgrade, First Flight. I spent 2 weeks getting the Quadcopter ready to fly, had some problems with my FlySky TH-9x to calibrate with the NAZA system but got it all working anyway. So when I tell you, you should use lock tight on the threads for the props...You really should! All I broke was a prop, but I have to wait a week for a replacement, I ordered extra s...

I am 190cm tall and don't have small hands and I managed to change the position bulbs in less than 10 min like in 0:42 without even taking the mirror's covers. The right bulb is harder since there is a rigid pipe probably from the front brakes but still no trouble at all.

It’s much easier if you attack the bulb from underneath between the forks there’s way more room and a lot less hassle.

I replaced my crappy oem bulbs with hids years ago. I-got tired of cage-drivers pulling out into me, or passing into my face. Now they cant say they didn’t see me. My riding partners always know where i am. My one complaint….i cant see the speedometer, not a problem really, i just installed an old nuvi gps on speed setting up above on my homemade shelf, with lots of plug-ins.

I just changed mine you just reach up from the bottom not the top. Feel for the 2 little levers either side of the 3 pin plug. Give them a squeeze in and pull at the same time don’t use brute force. Then pull off rubber cover. Then push the looped part of retaining wire in and across which releases the bulb. Note which way the bulb is seated. Then reverse the procedure. There is no need to take anything apart to change the main bulb.

It's your health you're jeopardizing. If you can deal with the dust issues wearing a fresh air mask and reducing the dust coming towards you and your clothes fine including vacuuming the dust.

The stuff used to braze the two together is a silver compound. Usually 50% silver and then a mixture of other metals including copper, zinc, nickel. The copper and zinc being what makes brass giving it a light brass color. That is the weakest and least expensive of the ways to braze steel to carbide. If I see 2 or more similar products and some have that brass look and some don't, I choose the one that doesn't all else being equal.

Been using 7 1/4 wood blades.. inconsistent sometimes but usually can get like 50+ cuts out of one.. I've had a few where I cut about 10ft worth and the blade was dull. I've never tried the fiber cement blades yet. Will see the quality of the brand soon tho. Hardie board and board&batten

This is bad advice. You can use wood blades on fiber cement, but then you should wear a particulate respirator, or wait for a windy day. The fine dust can damage your lungs and the fiber cement blades make "ribbons" and less fine dust. The Freud fiber cement blade are trash though. Diablo is passable and easy to find where I am at least. The good blades (like malco or norske) are more expensive ($60-80) and usually harder to find, but you can use them every day for a month before they wear out.

not sure if this is why, but the 7 tooth blade pulls out bigger chunks. the others create more of a fine dust. breathing in the silica is really bad, so maybe it is a health reason?.

A very nice mod' with that, from-the-factory look. Nicely done. I have however known those connectors to fail, corrosion issues mainly. I favour solder and shrink tubing two tails with spade connectors/receptors to enable easy unplugging of the whole indicator unit. Fair play to you for your great solution, really neat job.

I would walk away from the small boxes that pierce knifes into your tiny cables. It may be a good idea on some thicker cables in cars. Try follow the hot cable to a fuse or push the cable end inside the plug. On my Honda's I could not always hear the right moment to shift gear, being in traffic but there is an indication for that on most vehicles. The rev counter points in exactly the same direction as the speedometer does and at lowest or highest speed not. Look at this alignment ones and you just know when the moment is that you should or safely can assume to be able to shift up gear. One can even tell if the engine is high or low on revelations for the gear that you are in and gear indicators don't do that.

Re: that self-cancelling turn signal point. When I bought my ST1300 one of the first things I noticed was that you had to manually turn off each signal. My previous bike was a 2003 Yamaha V-Max which had a similarly oriented button with self-cancelling feature. Has anyone tried comparing the V-Max and V65 Sabre switches to see if either one will install on the ST1300? Food for thought and a small project for one of us if we can make the time. Someone who works at a dealer handling Honda/Yamaha would be a good candidate for this.

Just changed my left one and found that by turning the steering to the left I could get a great grip on the plastic clip. I pressed both of the sides of the connector in (the widest span so pressing the shortest ends) and pulled and the connector came off. I tried it with the steering to the right but the suspension Stantion was in the way too much for me to grip the connector enough to press in the sides. Hope this is useful as I tried several ways of getting at it before this way worked. Also try reaching in backwards with you hand behind you as this may also work.
