@xevvvi could be clock related. As crazy as it sounds, there's some connections that breakdown over times and they need soldering back on. There's a guy that I sent my clocks to and it solved that issue straight away

@@mastersmods funnily enough my clocks glass has a little crack in it someone made at some stage or another when having the clocks out hmm

@xevvvi it's a common problem on them and the cars control unit goes through the dash clocks so it's definitely worth looking into

@slyfox186 I did try it again with the new one on and tbh it didn't make the difference I thought it would. I believe this was down to it being a map sensor issue but I can't be 100% as I sold the car before I got to the root cause

@iz.FullSend all easy stuff that is tbf mate. That plenum is only held down with about 10x 10mm bolts. Vac pipe can be a pain in the ass but do able

@mastersmods Pain to diagnose! MAF is reading 3.5 g/s Dont think its Boost solenoid as boost levels change on different maps and boost is completely absent if plug Disconnected. MAP, I have no idea how to try and diagnose that. Checked for Vacuum leaks spraying brake cleaner on joints hoses. Might delete the symposer I've heard they cause problems.

@slyfox186 yea they can leak boost pressure

Changed pierburg BOOST SOLENOID which didn't work, then changed Bosch MAP sensor which actually worked 🥳 and now back to normal running and boost. This is the 2nd MAP sensor I've changed during 15 year ownership. Conclude its the internal electronics that must fail on these MAPS as cleaning them makes no difference whatsoever. My advice would be anyone with boost issues and jerking acceleration change the MAP first.

@alexnge1939 I had the control box near the battery and 2 cables went left and 2 went right. I just ran them down either side and cable tied them out the way so they didn't catch on the floor

@MarcBirks hmm that is a strange one. Definitely a sensor/electrical fault by the sounds of it. Changing the door lock could help I suppose but sadly I don't know 100%

@AngieBaByxXxX the kit I used was like £16 so if you're gonna do it, just make sure you buy a decent one. I will re do mine as I think it would look wicked with my wrap but I'll happily pay 30/40 quid for a kit tbh
